Extremely dangerous Hurricane Katrina is bearing down on the North Central Gulf of Mexico and New Orleans metro area. New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin conceded that as many as 100,000 inner-city residents didn't have the means to leave and an untold number of tourists were stranded by the closing of the airport. At this hour, people are still filing into the Superdome after security screening for weapons and contraband. National Guard have brought in 360,000 MRE (meals ready to eat) to feed the estimated 30,000 storm refugees in the Superdome.

Sorry, NautiNurse, my last post was actually meant for you. I wanted to thank you for keeping the threads alive. You've done a yeoman's job. You were here when I went to bed at midight and here you still are. Good job.
The pressure has risen, yes, but it has not lost half its strength. Not even close.
Looks like the ParadeCam/StreetCam got sleepy and went night-night...
it's weaker
It doesn't sound like he got much sleep with the shutters banging. He says winds are gusting at about 50mph and lots of rain but that NO is holding up so far. There is some eyewll disintegration and it has picked up speed. Any reports from inside the Dome?
I've lost all New Orleans webcams as of this time. Don't know if we over-taxed the stream as it says file not found, or if that means they've lost power?
< Fox is showing that AMIGO Spanish course commerical. I wish someone would tell that woman she is pronouncing, pronouncing wrong >
I thought I was the only person who screams at her when she does that. LOL.
He is a goddamned fool for being there.
Still working for me. It does time-out and you have to hit the play button again. Or many there's too many connections on the server.
Sorry, I meant that post for NautiNurse, but I'm glad everyone is here.
Anyone know why the only station ever I see that commercial is on FNC? Could it be like the silly "Stop The Hate" commercials liberals made radio stations play years ago during Rush Limbaugh, until he made them stop by enforcing his contract?
its back again now
Streetcar Cam is working for me.
Do you ever get grossed out by Matthew Lesco and his obnoxious "free money" ads? That guy makes me barf!
Oh, probably not. :-)
