Hurricane Prayer Thread

I know there are threads going with information pertaining to the hurricane. If anyone would like to come and pray and post it here....when we feel helpless, through prayer we are reminded God is with us!!!

Heavenly Father, we return to thank You that You are Sovereign ... You send the lightning on its course ... You open or close the floodgates of Heaven ... Your voice is heard in the thunder. Your majesty is proclaimed throughout all the earth in the wind and in the whirlwind. We are prostrate before You in Your power and glory, O Lord, even as we seek Your mercy in shielding us from the catastrophic event that is coming to our shores. Diminish its power, O God, that we might live. Turn it aside, that we might speak of Your goodness. Draw our hearts to You as Creator and Sustainer, that we might sing Your praises. Of ourselves we are not worthy, O God, but we plead the Blood of the Lord Jesus in our time of need. Our repentant hearts cry out that You would hold back this deadly assault upon the people and the land, that we might live.
