Hooray! I am so thankful you are safe, and that you were able to salvage most of your property. Thank God!

Have been worried about several FReepers we haven't heard from since before the storm. I really appreciate you checking in. I see from the photo your roof took quite a beating. Great to see you online again - did your computer survive the storm, or did you evacuate it with you to safer ground?

If there is anything you need, please let us know. Welcome back!

Hopefully our FReepers we haven't heard from yet are simply out of pocket and nothing worse. I'm going to keep them in my prayers just as I will mwp99 since mwp is still dealing with the mess of the after effects.

mwp99, when you have a little time and are ready, I'd like to hear of your experiences and impressions. I'm so glad you're ok even though you're having to deal with the hassle. I'll keep you in my prayers for help in dealing with the stress and the situation.

Haven't heard any news for 7.62mm. The FReeper names I listed were on the Katrina Live threads August 27-28.

Thanks.

You know I've been 'out-of-the-loop' for about two weeks.

Hi blam, I am here, busy as a bee. My SIL;s family lived in La and lost everything, I mean everything. Him dad did not have flood insurance, that does it for them. We have taken in 4 families and am trying to get trailers from FEMA and some type of holding, portable septic tanks, checking with power co now to see if we will need another transformer, gonna need 5 travel trailers to house them. BUT right now, they are here in our house, do I need to say more?

This has been a trip, the storm and its aftermath. I am nearly 70 and Never have I ever seen anything like this.

Yup. Same over here in Bayou LaBatre, wiped out.

God bless you for all that you're doing.
