You nailed it! I don't have to say it, but I will. The piece was some mighty fine--exceptional writing--and far more interesting than anything found in The New Yorker, the New York Times, Washington Post or LA Times...
It does indeed go without saying. Thank you. I hope you consider compiling it for publishing, because by and large the publishing world consists of the people who sat next to the ones you mentioned in their classes in socialists ran universities.

FreeRepublic is my main source of information. Not only do I learn, but I can enjoy the wit and wisdom of Freepers like you. Thank you.

Wow, that's blatant:
A headline in the Dayton Daily News from last year's election: VP Cheney visited Dayton and the headline was "Cheney's Visit Ties Up Downtown Traffic." Franken-Kerry visited Dayton and the headline was "Thousands Turn Out for Kerry Rally." Which is it? Did Kerry tie up traffic, or did thousands turn out for Cheney?

At times, I have considered trying to become a writer. Each time, I eventually have to deal with the fact that I can barely spell, and I am death with a semicolon or comma. I do things to paragraphs that MS Word cant fix or detect until its too late. But thanks!

Great rant, P.D.!
I've passed it on to several of the remaining ABC-NBC-CBS-CNN viewers I know.

Remember, "the good is the enemy of the great."
Something I've noticed here is so many people here are ready to start screaming it's the end of the world as we know it at the first sign that things aren't going the way we want, or someone doesn't do exactly what we want them to.
Is Fox News perfect? NO. BUT, put them up against the other networks. Name me anything made by man that is prefect.
(note: that's not to say we shouldn't hold their feet to the fire.)
Once again great rant!

Let me be clear, I think Fox News is a godsend.
I do not think Bush wins either of his elections without Fox News providing a balanced view in contrast to the MSM. I think right now, we need them more than ever. Fox has the majority of cable news viewers, so now is the time for them to present the facts the way that their charter describes. Yesterday they got it wrong, but I trust that they will get back on track.
Brit Hume needs to kick a few asses.

Oh, they will see it. They come here all the time. Judging the response of part one, I suspect there will be some blow-back on Kos and some of the other crazies sites like last time. I don't know though, I don't think I left them much to argue with this time. Facts are facts, and they are losing.
