Just talked to Basil on site in Crawford, Texas. Currently there are about 100 folks there helping to set up. They have not received word about the caravan arrival in Waco yet. JimRob is riding with the caravan. She thinks it might get to Crawford around 1:00 p.m.
Basil says the stage is set up, the sound system is excellent and they have hung the most beautiful banners overnighted by W04Man on the stage. A big thanks for the banners, they are much appreciated!
Someone arrived early and hung yellow ribbons everywhere.
They have an American flag that is about 50 feet by 40 feet. Children of military personnel serving in the Middle East have written notes to their parents on the stripes of this flag. A very touching thing to behold.
The HOT Chapter booth is being unloaded right now. The will sell buttons made by Angelwood to help off set costs.
Someone rented the Community Center for our use so there is access to AC. However, they also have 10 tents set up. And there is a Moonwalk for the kiddos.
To top everything else there is BBQ on the grill! Basil is the official taster and says it is great!
That is all the news I have at the moment. It is hard to get a cell phone connection to Crawford but when I hear more I will try to update everyone.
Red white and blue. That's a good color for ribbons and banners. Those colors are for duty. Getting done what has to be done, and not leaving until it is done.

Pat Whitley just had an interview with Melonie(?) Morgan who is with the Caravan, up here in Boston, RKO. She came across very well, strong statement of why they are there and refuted some of the leftist trash we have been hearing from the MSM. Excellent spokesman.

I'm shocked at your interpretation of "yellow ribbons"! As a military mom whose son served in Iraq, I hung yellow ribbons on our flag pole. They represent our support and gratitude for our troops, and say that we will be here waiting for your return. To say that those ribbons stand for "cut-and-run" is absurd! I'm shocked!
When our son returned, he was honored that we had hung the yellow ribbons.

Do what we did at Donna Anna range at FT Bliss. Find a spot with the best reception and put a mark on the ground. That was the only way we could talk to the people back in Austin. There are some areas that the signal seems to be very strong, just feet away from zero signal strength.
I'd be there today, but I am on standby. I have to "babysit" my telephone, in case any National Guard units call for help.

I've thought about that as well. I'm hoping that all of our FRiends will restrain themselves and not get drawn into any ugliness, or violence. The Sheehan supporters would just LOVE that and so would the MSM. Stay calm people, and remember that we represent the calm, intelligent, honorable people, not the screechers, screamers and ignoramuses. :)

Natalee's friends and family have put up yellow ribbons all over the Birmingham AL area. And her mother has told the Arubans that they will NEVER go away and go home UNTIL they find out what happened to their daughter, and find her remains and bring them home if they are findable.
