Just talked to Basil on site in Crawford, Texas. Currently there are about 100 folks there helping to set up. They have not received word about the caravan arrival in Waco yet. JimRob is riding with the caravan. She thinks it might get to Crawford around 1:00 p.m.
Basil says the stage is set up, the sound system is excellent and they have hung the most beautiful banners overnighted by W04Man on the stage. A big thanks for the banners, they are much appreciated!
Someone arrived early and hung yellow ribbons everywhere.
They have an American flag that is about 50 feet by 40 feet. Children of military personnel serving in the Middle East have written notes to their parents on the stripes of this flag. A very touching thing to behold.
The HOT Chapter booth is being unloaded right now. The will sell buttons made by Angelwood to help off set costs.
Someone rented the Community Center for our use so there is access to AC. However, they also have 10 tents set up. And there is a Moonwalk for the kiddos.
To top everything else there is BBQ on the grill! Basil is the official taster and says it is great!
That is all the news I have at the moment. It is hard to get a cell phone connection to Crawford but when I hear more I will try to update everyone.
She's just havin' the time of her life, ain't she! Gosh, just think....if Casey hadn't given his life trying to save his fellow soldiers....aw, well....I'm not going to go there.
It was a Protest Warrior sign, it even said so at the bottom, and it was held by a Protest Warrior. Mistaken Identity. Folks were hot and edgy. Later a real Sindiite appeared and pulled down a banner/sign near the stage. The police frog marched that guy away. At least I think it was that guy. Kinda hard to see what was going on.
When the earlier mistaken ID incident occurred, the media were on it like buzzards on road kill. I had seen the protest warrior sign, and couldn't quite figure out what was going on, even though it was not more than 20 or 30 feet in front of me.
Yep:') Freepers seemed everywhere. I met one by the BBQ. I think her name was Zacariah 13 or something like that.
Voted...(again)

I think I remember seeing the truck. Who was in the red jeep that kept stopping and waiting on us? He was holding a large flag.
What did I miss? I catch up and there are comments removed everywhere:')
The problem was that many could not hear the PA system. They did announce the presence of ProtestWarrior, explained that you needed to read their signs carefully and that they are on our side. But many folks could not hear that. The crowd that was not under the tent was "churning" all the time, moving to the front, moving back to the sides or back of the tent (there was a large open area between the tent and the stage. The incident occurred near the front of the tent, where the sound system could be heard, at least when men were talking, and talking in to the mike. But I'm sure it could not be heard farther back. Even people sitting around me did, who should have heard the announcement, since my muzzle blast diminished ears did, still didn't catch it nor understand what the protest warriors were/are about.
FReepologies to the Protest Warriors.
I want to see that photo beside the shot published around the world. What a visual that would make. Sin-dy alone, grieving for her lost son.......and the expose' of the media hype. priceless.
Whooo HOO!
I suspect there are more than just your Mom who are watching Aruba - I've heard some of the ratings, and it appears that story seems to rate quite high. OTH, I'm like you, while I feel awful for the parents and Natalee, I'm getting a bit tired of hearing about it-- if something happens, of course, I want to know, but, I haven't watched Greta since I don't remember when as that's all she does. Guess she has a niche on FNC w the lawyer and crime type stuff.
Thanks to you and the others who were in Crawford who were there for the rest of us who couldn't be there because of the distance. We were there in spirit and tried to do our small part phoning the media at home.
LOL. Here's a "breaking" story. Cindy shakes Jim's hand and thanks him for FR:')
speaking of a sheehan MOON-bats ~
lol ~ my husband said he heard it - but I didn't and I was sitting right next to him!
Bless you for being such a good Mom and raising what I'm sure is a wonderful daughter. Please let her know that she and her fellow soldiers are in our thoughts and prayers and appreciate all they're doing to protect our freedom and help keep us safe.
Best,
SC
That's an awesome sight. This was for all our daughters and sons. How do we get it to them, though?
Keep doing more stuff like happened at Crawford.
