Just talked to Basil on site in Crawford, Texas. Currently there are about 100 folks there helping to set up. They have not received word about the caravan arrival in Waco yet. JimRob is riding with the caravan. She thinks it might get to Crawford around 1:00 p.m.
Basil says the stage is set up, the sound system is excellent and they have hung the most beautiful banners overnighted by W04Man on the stage. A big thanks for the banners, they are much appreciated!
Someone arrived early and hung yellow ribbons everywhere.
They have an American flag that is about 50 feet by 40 feet. Children of military personnel serving in the Middle East have written notes to their parents on the stripes of this flag. A very touching thing to behold.
The HOT Chapter booth is being unloaded right now. The will sell buttons made by Angelwood to help off set costs.
Someone rented the Community Center for our use so there is access to AC. However, they also have 10 tents set up. And there is a Moonwalk for the kiddos.
To top everything else there is BBQ on the grill! Basil is the official taster and says it is great!
That is all the news I have at the moment. It is hard to get a cell phone connection to Crawford but when I hear more I will try to update everyone.

I finally found the Aruba audience of one. I got into Waco about 1:30AM Sat morning. My mother insisted I stay with her instead of a hotel. She has 2 beds in her room. I woke up and she wasn't in hers. She was up watching TV. She said there was "breaking" news and she wanted to see what was happening and wanted to know if I wanted to watch it with her. "Ah no thanks. Night, Momma".
LOL! Look at the tense, irritated, barely-controlled expression on Matt "Mattie the Lib" Lauer's face! Like all the liberal elite, he hates being exposed for what he is. HUZZAHS FOR YOU!!!
I don't know who it was but there was a guy that came thru the back of the tent that looked like a reporter. A lady and asked where he had been. He replied, very annoyed, something like"I have been here all day, following , in this heat, so don't even talk to me about where I've been". We were like, "whoa". I don't know what set him off but he jumped all over her. Maybe there was more to the story since they seemed to know each other but it was really tense for a few moments.
I got to meet him and shake his hand and tell him thanks for FR. Unfortunately by that time I was out of film:')

I'm going to post a picture in a little bit but I let my grandson ring that bell. Over and over but he had to wait his turn with grown men. It warmed my heart knowing those across the street gritting their teeth with each freedom clang. I do apologize to the VN vet in the electric wheel chair that showed him how the controls worked though. I could have told him that my GS would have to try it, himself . Anyway he was telling me how horrible he and other vets were treated when he came back. Hippies beware.This is not going to happen with our military in Iraq.

I agree, that is a GREAT WAY to refer to that Kamp............I think we should all refer to this heinous woman's hang-out as "Cindistan"...........It FITS!
That is a funny picture, but not surprising.
They had their cameras, just as Fox and CNN did a couple of weeks ago, they just chose not to use much of the video.
