Just talked to Basil on site in Crawford, Texas. Currently there are about 100 folks there helping to set up. They have not received word about the caravan arrival in Waco yet. JimRob is riding with the caravan. She thinks it might get to Crawford around 1:00 p.m.
Basil says the stage is set up, the sound system is excellent and they have hung the most beautiful banners overnighted by W04Man on the stage. A big thanks for the banners, they are much appreciated!
Someone arrived early and hung yellow ribbons everywhere.
They have an American flag that is about 50 feet by 40 feet. Children of military personnel serving in the Middle East have written notes to their parents on the stripes of this flag. A very touching thing to behold.
The HOT Chapter booth is being unloaded right now. The will sell buttons made by Angelwood to help off set costs.
Someone rented the Community Center for our use so there is access to AC. However, they also have 10 tents set up. And there is a Moonwalk for the kiddos.
To top everything else there is BBQ on the grill! Basil is the official taster and says it is great!
That is all the news I have at the moment. It is hard to get a cell phone connection to Crawford but when I hear more I will try to update everyone.
Go, Allegra!
Thanks MEG. Pretty interesting the way they frame the questions, right? I told them in the comment box about the way they frame their questions by not giving the conservative choice on some of them.
It's partly why Libs are always so big on doing "boycotts" of corporations and then... the junk science JUNKING of particular products.
It all has to do with that bottom line.
So, no. I'm not explaining Fox's stance on this and because I don't know. What I do know, is that with the newer technology being released upon the market, corporations are scrambling and vying for larger markets. And a lot has to do with what investments and plans the principal shareholders are up to, and with whom, and where.
So, frankly, when I see, say, a talk show host taking a certain position which out of the blue is upsetting to conservatives, I don't just automatically go to thinking "sell out!". All businesses are subject to the law of economics. And that includes... news media and talk show hosts.
This all being said.. doing protests requires a lot of energy. The great folks who stood up for our troops and the mission exerted tremendous amounts of energy in making this all HAPPEN. After something as big as this, it is natural to feel flat out exhausted (double-whammied from the heat), and what I used to call "post-protest fatigue syndrome" -- that come down from amping up the psychic energies to do "this thing", and then suddenly being dumped back into one's "normal" life. I thought the folks were wonderful and all who did this event in Crawford yesterday did a FINE, FINE job. Made my heart so proud and happy. Couldn't be prouder or more in love with 'em.
I can't imagine why we haven't connected before. I've talked to a lot of N.C. people, as I have children and a brother there.
SEMPER FI!!
Hmm. Well, I admit, every now and then I get exploring -- only to see how many more corners of FR I have yet to explore. It's a pretty big forum.
THANK YOU, Joe!!!!! Be sure to point as many of your fellow troop members as possible to this thread. We do so want them all to know that America is solidly behind them and their mission.
Those Fire Fighters had that pit going the whole time nonstop.
It was an awesome sight to behold for someone who likes barbecue!
Notice how they used a shot where you could not read what was on the horse's.... er ... well you know. The one on the left said something like "U don't speak for me" the other "Cindy Go Home". Now that's what I call horse sense. :)

This needs a broad ping to all who worked on Crawford event.
Can one of you all do that?
It is a huge forum now. Remember how it was when we first joined? Sometimes I stand amazed at it's growth and potential.
Good job!
Thanks for posting those. I am thrilled to see the picures of the caravan coming in.
I read LeapoFaith's post about making sure the Freeper pics got to the troops. That's EXACTLY what is important. More so, IMHO, than reaching the MSM. I like LeapoFaith's org. I wonder if GoldStarMoms, and other military support private organizations have the web means to POST THESE GIFS! And how about 4 hours of footage Serpent Dove has. AWESOME. And Move America Forward's footage and gifs.
Thank YOU Mr Joe!

That ping request was in Ref to post # 3000 from MrJoe from Fallujah.
There was more than 26 vehicles in the caravan.
I was one of the lucky ones directing them into the parking lot. My estimate would be closer to 125 vehicles.
It was an amazing and thriling site to see.
