There was more than 26 vehicles in the caravan.
I was one of the lucky ones directing them into the parking lot. My estimate would be closer to 125 vehicles.
It was an amazing and thriling site to see.
Manning the "welcome"(?) tent - I would say it was close to that number too. It was a thrilling sight as you say. And then so many lined up outside our canopy in the hot sun wanting to write on the banners going to the troops and/or the President, the program was beginning - I kept telling them to go on in and come back later and sign, but most chose to wait - it was important to them to send a personal message.
One of my daughters got ill from the heat and I had to leave for a bit to cool her off. As we were driving down the little street back toward town there were hundreds walking from town to the rally. So we ran a little one truck shuttle service for a short while while cooling my daughter off.
It was an amazing day. REAL Americans rock!!!

As I suspected. Way too many people poured in when the "Convoy" arrived. And continued to pour in for some time after wards.
