Just talked to Basil on site in Crawford, Texas. Currently there are about 100 folks there helping to set up. They have not received word about the caravan arrival in Waco yet. JimRob is riding with the caravan. She thinks it might get to Crawford around 1:00 p.m.
Basil says the stage is set up, the sound system is excellent and they have hung the most beautiful banners overnighted by W04Man on the stage. A big thanks for the banners, they are much appreciated!
Someone arrived early and hung yellow ribbons everywhere.
They have an American flag that is about 50 feet by 40 feet. Children of military personnel serving in the Middle East have written notes to their parents on the stripes of this flag. A very touching thing to behold.
The HOT Chapter booth is being unloaded right now. The will sell buttons made by Angelwood to help off set costs.
Someone rented the Community Center for our use so there is access to AC. However, they also have 10 tents set up. And there is a Moonwalk for the kiddos.
To top everything else there is BBQ on the grill! Basil is the official taster and says it is great!
That is all the news I have at the moment. It is hard to get a cell phone connection to Crawford but when I hear more I will try to update everyone.
I hope there's more to his report than the six seconds he gave it.
Having lived in New Orleans, I understand why everyone is concerned about the hurricane that's about to wipe it out, but couldn't he have given Crawford at least two minutes?
The guy is rattling off a bunch of really unflattering dsscriptions of people and Hope interrupts with "like Democrats?" Typical Hope perfect timing makes it work.
I'd have to listen again for the exact words, but that's the gist.
Sounds wonderful! Cannot wait to see it, Thank you and everyone who was with you so much!
Boy you got that right!
" I am so disgusted with Fox News."
Agreed.
Too bad someone didn't tell FOX that they spotted Satish and Deepak in the Move America Forward crowd.
I would not mind betting it is the one that us pro Bush supporters love the best because unfortunately it is true.
That has be just the long range caravan. Still some of those vehicles were pretty big. Including the Big Blue 18 wheeler which lead the way, at least into the rally site.
That is one great Picture and sums up what Many feel, but can't get to Crawford to express it.
The Price of Freedom is Not Free.
God Bless our Troops in Harm's way.
Thanks! Good to meet you too! Great crowd of people!
The question is not how Fox is benefiting. In many cases, it is clear that media organizations, Hollywood, etc. would be more profitable if they presented a more mainstream or conservative perspective. The sorry truth is that the leftist agenda trumps any rational benefits to these organizations.
Great pix! Hi folks, I'm just popping on briefly, have slow internet.
Great to see that so many turned out in Crawford for the good side today.
The mission is noble. Woohoo!
If it's not too late, go back and save your first reply. Years from now you may wish you had if you don't. And welcome to FR. :-)
Hi snugs! Isn't this awesome! Being on this thread is next best thing to being in Crawford.
"Our boys and girls ought to wake the hippy's up every morning with the LOUDEST reveille recording they can find."
Reveille? Wouldn't it be better to keep them asleep with taps?
My best wishes for all you fortunate people who got to go to Crawford. Keep your heads and spirits high!
I love the "I Hate Hippies" t-shirt. It reminds me of my Vietnam War patch that says "Napalm Sticks To Hippies" and "Yankee Air Pirate/Capitalist Peeg".
Its called TradeMark and the REAL Gold Star organization should sue.
Yep. Someone above stated she gave an interview saying that was the one slogan at the rally that she really didn't like. I suspect Cindy will be seeing it FAR more often.
Thanks for the pic!
