On my heart is to share a prayer and some scripture and invite others to join in agreement on this thread.
Lord, I pray:
* For the humiliation and spiritual 'breaking' of our enemies, without bloodshed, that they be in disarray as a group and come to spiritual repentance individually.
* For the enlightenment of the many naive and apathetic people who finally start to understand the agenda of the Radical Left and renounce and reject it,
* For the encouragement of the Conservative Right, that they will renew their strength, that they will have both the compassion and the backbone, the grace and the Truth, to confront evildoers without flinching, without compromise, without returning evil for evil.
* For the knowledge of what to say to counter the lies and hatred, in a way that defuses and stymies the liars and haters.
* For the protection of our sources of information and truth--that the enemies' efforts to kill faithful messengers will be continually stymied.
And, recalling the book by Fred Schwartz, "You Can Trust The Communists--To Be Communist!" may those who seek to do righteousness trust in You and find the way to HATE the sin but LOVE the sinners.
Lord, let us all be wise in our politics, that we be not be derisive and divisive, but that our principled kindness will overwhelm the miserable souls who rage against all that is right, true and decent. Let us be wise in our answers, in Jesus' Name, amen.
