The rape suspect police had been hunting since Monday night was arrested in the town of Chemung early Thursday and was arraigned later that morning in Horseheads Village Court.
Israel Lopez-Aguilar, 34, whom police identified as a Mexican migrant worker, was charged with one count each of first-degree rape and first-degree attempted rape. Both charges are felonies.
Lopez-Aguilar, speaking through an interpreter - Yolanda Lopez, an administrative assistant with the Elmira Police Department - waived his right to a preliminary hearing.
Village Justice William Driscoll set bail at $100,000 cash or $200,000 insurance bond and sent Lopez-Aguilar to the Chemung County Jail.
He'll remain there until his court date before a grand jury, which Chemung County Assistant District Attorney Charles Metcalfe said will be sometime next month.
If convicted, Lopez-Aguilar faces a maximum of 25 years in prison, Metcalfe said.

Mexican migrant workers -- coming to the U.S. to rape the women who American workers won't rape.
A guest rapist program! Yeah, that is what the US needs.
American workers don't rape?
We have enuogh American rapists. Why import more?

don't want to do. It is all

Israel Lopez-Aguilar, 34, whom police identified avoided identifying as a Mexican migrant worker illegal immigrant...
