Damn... I was hoping that I can finally get things finalized in court for Monday. May be cancelled if it heads up the Mississippi River.

Oh my...hey--what is that stray blue plot line doing way outside the map?

That is the extrapolated plot line. This is the plot if the hurricane continued on its present path with no turning or deviation.

CNN's broadcasting live from a drilling rig 130 miles south of Louisiana coast. They're evacuating non-essential ppl at this time.

WTVJ is reporting (within the last two minutes) that the authorities HAVE made contact with the family, and all five people are all right...

The only thing consistent with these storms is that they remain inconsistent.

Oh man great to hear. Nothing scarrier than small boats and storms. Been caught on Galveston bay when a local storm caught us, scary.

Lived in BR in '77, lots of good fishing there. Never forget the night fishing on the Amite at night with pregnant ex-wife when a mullet jumped into the boat and into open tackle box. I heard jump 1, then jump 2 and jump 3 was the charmer, thought I was gonna be a daddy right there and then.

Agreed. No one wants to say the NHC is wrong, except half of us armchair weathermen that are not on the tube. ;)

I have been contacting relatives & friends in Miami Beach, Adventura, Hialeah, Kendall, N. Miami Beach, Hollywood & Hallendale. So far everyone is okay, wet but okay, but northern Florida could get the worst of this.
