Police ask help in finding assault suspects
Two veterans of the Iraq war were among those savagely beaten recently in Pioneer Square by a group of men.
Now, Seattle police are looking for the attackers. On Wednesday, they released a videotape of the attack filmed by a witness and still photos captured from the tape.
"We are hoping the public can offer some assistance," police spokesman Sean Whitcomb said.
The assault happened just past 2:30 a.m. on July 31, police reported.
A group of people were in line to enter Larry's Nightclub on First Avenue South when a man groped one of the women in the group.
Her friend, another woman, confronted the man, and he groped her as well.

You and me BOTH! Some of the nanny FReepers irritate the heck out of me sometimes. sheesh!
Why didn't anyone stop and help them?
No, in the video it looks like the perps were all black and the victims were white. It was hard to tell with them on the ground.
as it is, it still smacks of political correctness not to even broadcast the video so folks can actually see what happened and try to id the perps.......
who were they protecting?
when all is said and done, it might be a good thing that it was black guys and gals who were attacked, because maybe now something will be done about it....
That appears to be false from another account above in this thread. Perps and victims are the same race.

Could I get a link to that source. Thanks.
Could you offer a reliable source to that? Like the DAs office or the Seattle Police? Thanks.
I couldn't tell in the video and it is so disturbing I didn't read the article. I just saw the video on Hannity and Colmes.
You're going above and beyond what was offered.
SW6906 posted it in #68. He lives in Washington State and heard it on a local radio station.

John Carlson, a local conservative radio talk show host (who once ran for governor and has run several successful state-wide initiative campaigns) reported it on his show yesterday. It is part of the building scandal that the race of those involved has not been reported like it usually is.
I believe Clemenza also heard this. He lives in the area and heard so on the radio as well.
I'm white. I do not consider myself to be racist.
However, when I see young black men wearing their hats sideways, and their pants hanging off, covered in jewelry, swaggering around using filthy language, they frighten me.
I do not think it is a black/white thing. It is a perception of good vs. bad when these young men walk, talk and dress like gang members. Of course I am not saying that all of them are. But the way a person chooses to present themselves goes a long way in other people's perceptions.
If I were walking down the street, and on one side there was a group of young black men dressed like college students, and on the other side was a similar group only they were dressed like thugs because that is "in style", I would certainly stay on the side of the mainstream kids.
Personally, I think the current pop culture that exists in the black community has done a lot of damage.
I am certainly not trying to offend. I just want your opinion on the current culture, and whether you think my perception of why some people on these threads might have said some of the things they said.
Maybe it depends on where a person lives. I live around a lot of black guys who dress like gangsta thugs but aren't. I've lived around a lot of different black people and some people never have. There's a lot to be said for the negative aspect of gangsta rapper culture. That's a whole other discussion and not what was at work in many of these threads (in my opinion).
Besides fear is a great motivator behind a lot of people's actions and opinions. I agree with the whole dress thing but you know how young people are.
But I think for the majority of adults to label guys who dress that way "thugs" is no different than assuming a woman who dresses in a see through top, a micro mini, and thigh high boots is probably a slut.
I have never lived around black people for whom the hip hop culture is acceptable. I live in a suburban area. My neighbors, who are black, are very religious and have very well mannered children. The kids who go to my children's school are all just little kids. There is no difference between the white ones and black ones.
I know that some people on these threads truly are racist, and I am not trying to excuse their comments.
But I think many people, especially people in the 40 and over crowd, truly expect the worst behavior from people who dress like 50 Cent.
Nothing I can disagree with in your post.
Your defense mechanism is alerted when you are confronted with a situation like the one you described. That's natural, and it is wise to think twice on that one. When standing, I'm a 6' 6", 275 lb. man. My defense mechanism automatically arises when I come into contact with younger black men dressed as you described.
Personally, I think the current pop culture that exists in the black community has done a lot of damage.
Yes, it has done irreparable damage. It was planned to do that damage precisely. The young black men's actions and how they carry themselves was provoked purposefully to retrieve precisely those young black men's reactions and attitudes, as it was to conjure up images in you and other mainstream Americans about what every young black man is supposed to be about.
I've said before and I'll say again and again that black America is a Marxist Laboratory. This is NOT! NOT! NOT! an indictment on white people. It is an indictment of the Democrat machine.
I am certainly not trying to offend. I just want your opinion on the current culture, and whether you think my perception of why some people on these threads might have said some of the things they said.
I won't go into that. It serves no purpose, really. If a black man doesn't want to get along with a white man, he won't. If a white man doesn't want to get along with a black man, he won't.
I'll leave it at that.

By whom?
My earlier point that I don't think I ever really made was that I think the term "racist" is thrown around far too easily.
I know many white people won't even get into a conversation of this nature for fear of being labeled a racist.
But if I dress and act like a whore, I shouldn't be surprised if that is how men treat me. And it doesn't make them sexist pigs, either.
These guys who dress and act like gangsters, and then scream racism when someone perceives them that way, really get on my nerves.
By the so-called black "leadership," the Democrats, and the media. It's an all day, every day thing.
