Police ask help in finding assault suspects
Two veterans of the Iraq war were among those savagely beaten recently in Pioneer Square by a group of men.
Now, Seattle police are looking for the attackers. On Wednesday, they released a videotape of the attack filmed by a witness and still photos captured from the tape.
"We are hoping the public can offer some assistance," police spokesman Sean Whitcomb said.
The assault happened just past 2:30 a.m. on July 31, police reported.
A group of people were in line to enter Larry's Nightclub on First Avenue South when a man groped one of the women in the group.
Her friend, another woman, confronted the man, and he groped her as well.

FYI: Don't know if you heard this already but all parties involved were black. No hate crime here, although that doesn't change the fact that these thugs deserve to face a pair of plyers and a blowtorch.

It makes sense, as I happen to know this club (Larrys) and the fact that it attracts a largely (though not entirely) black clientele.
That changes the subject about this pathetic event, doesn't it?
Maybe all the folks who have been wanting to make inferences about various aspects of this incident will start posting about how they take back their words. Somehow I doubt it, though.
Just that on all the threads so far, everyone assumed that it was a black on white crime. It was just confirmed by the local talk radio that this was an "intraracial" rather than an interracial crime.

We have a lot of guys here in Mississippi named BUBBA, also. And, probably half of them have sons named BUBBA JUNIOR. : )
I didn't jump into the threads on this subject last night simply because I'm not very aggressive, and am really not very comfortable with getting into flame wars. But seeing as the environment of this thread is pretty friendly right now, I'll go ahead and say that the behavior of various posters on these threads has been very demoralizing for me. I've been keeping up with them. I saw an element on FR that I hadn't seen before. And I really didn't like it.
I'm off to bed now, as I'm dead-tired from studying...maybe somebody will flame me for trying to be preachy or something.
Yes it was very disheartening to read too, and yes I've noticed the element too. Sad.
I'd sure like a source for that... is there one?
