While news cameras were filming the event, Marine Jeff Key physically grabbed a cameraman from San Francisco local affiliate KGO. Key objected to the cameraman’s shooting position, which was on the same site where the protesters have erected crosses listing the names of fallen soldiers in Iraq. Here's a photo from right before the altercation took place:
I asked Mark Matthews of KGO about the alleged assault, “I’m not happy about it. We’re happy to abide by the rules when we know what the rules are. But there was no message communicated to us to stay out of the crosses. And last night, photographers, supporters of Cindy Sheehan, people praying, clapping and singing were here amongst the crosses. 13 hours later, it’s off limits without any notification to us.”
I asked one of Sheehan’s spokeswoman if she condoned Key’s assault of the cameraman. She would not answer my question directly, instead saying, “I think if we all do our fair share, we’ll work to keep everybody out of the way … That’s all we need is to have people stay out of the crosses … I think that’s all being worked out privately. I think the cameraman and the Iraq veteran was doing his best to honor the fallen will work it out.”

I would guess that the camera man had the same right to be standing in the easement as the Sheehan supporters. Public property is public property.
I want to know why FOX is running the Cindy Sheehan ads. I feel like barfing every time they show it.

Of course, casting me in the role of a sleeper would kind of require me not posting the kind of things I post for the past six years. Since my views haven't been much of a secret that entire time, I guess that theory is falling by the wayside.
So, to all those who have a problem with the question I posed, please forgive me for my unwillingness to pass judgment on the religious beliefs of people I've never met simply because I don't like their politics. Y'all go right on ahead and condemn them to hellfire or whatever you want to do, and feel good about it while you're doing it.

If I was a resident of Crawford, I would have everyone from anti to pro-war crowd to leave the area. Can the residence of crawford say the whole thing is a eye sore, disturbing the peace and start a petition to get everyone to leave? It's okay for the Caravan to leave because the mainstream media is only interested in Shejhad's stories. No Shejhad, No story.

We need to pool some funds... and pay the rancher that was shooting his shotgun the other day to hire a crop sprayer to spray his land. Aren't these guys right on the edge of his property line?? A little DDT would do them some good.

Theoretically, they are crosses. Whenever you put two pieces of wood together in that fashion, it's a cross.
But what about the Jewish soldiers who have died in Iraq? Shouldn't there be some Stars of David there, too?
