Rumsfeld says that 9/11 Commission briefed about Able Danger
FNC | August 23, 2005 | FNC

Rumsfeld is having a press conference. Under the Fox News Alert the big banner read:

Rumsfeld says that Able Danger briefed the 9/11 Commission.

Did anyone hear his remarks on this matter; all I've seen is the banner.

1. The Court does not "use U.N. laws" in reaching decisions. That is pure hyperbole.

2. It is absolutely wrong to consult prevailing international standards or current European chic to interpret our Constitution, including the Eighth Amendment. It is so wrong that it is disgusting.

In the National Geographic program Inside 9/11 there was an FBI man by the name of Dale Watson who gave the LAMEST excuse as to why the Bureau couldn't investigate the suspicions of an AZ(?) FBI agent about Arabs studying at flight schools. According to this turd, the FBI didn't have the $ (of course) or the personnel to investigate the thousands studying at these schools. Better to just give up, I guess, right, Mr. Watson? And I imagine most of the public watching the program didn't consider that the number of Arabs studying flying didn't really amount to thousands.
It made me want to puke. Him and the FAA guy who when asked to place a call to DoD to light up some fighters responded, "Well, everybody just left the office..."

And the media never did report that the Mayor of SLC, a dem calling for protests against the President......was himself booed by the same folks who cheered the President when he appeared.

I don't recall which decisions exactly, but sometime in the last year or so at least one of the justices on the USSC (Stevens?) have referred to some international law stuff... I think it may have been with regard to the death penalty somehow.

Bush got his staff late because of the recounted, and recounted, and......anyway, who was in charge over Able Danger 1999 - Feb. 2001? Bush was still trying to get his staff. It was shut down Feb. 2001. Who had the authority to shut it down while Bush was still getting settled?

This may be important. Who was still in charge at the time? Anyone?

I'm guessing it's something the Clinton administration did or didn't do that will make THEM look worse than anything they could make up about George Bush.

If not, why else this HUGE effort by practically everybody in the government (Clinton leftovers) to hide the truth?

"The new Counterterrorism Division will consolidate all FBI counterrorism initiatives under a single person. "

You could be right, but I thought I remembered something happening right before the 2000 election and whatever change it was, it handed Janet Reno an additional power that she hadn't had before.

This was going on during the Clinton years. Reno put Michael J. Waguespack in charge of FBI intel. Read the third memo. These came from the freedom of information act.

George Tenet, Dr. Richard Barth, Motorola Lobbyist & Clinton Policy Maker

The wall was not designed to hide terrorism. It was designed to cover what the Clinton administration was hiding. They didn't want to get caught, and Tenant was in on it.

I think Rummy was confirmed the week followed the President - Ashcroft took longer - seems like May - the Clinton administration wouldn't turn over any intelligence info to the incoming Bush admin until the last minute and with the delay of the election until mid-December, Bush was delayed for putting together his people and had to rent out space in Virginia (again due to CLinton obstructionism). Throw in that mess with the Chinese over our plane that they held for 3 weeks in April, and yet they blame Bush for 9/11!!! Geesh, it's unfreakin believable!

The General who defended Secretary Rumsfeld was General Tom McEinerny(? spell and what rank General). He did so forcefully.

Geeze. I'm not sure then. Now you've got me curious, and I love a good mystery.

If the Secretary of Defense affirms the project in public, doesn't that tacit approval to any and all to step forward and confirm, confirm, confirm the story?

It's got to be something like that.

But what have we missed? Not even a hint back then leaked out?

Must be something really bad.

Three, ey?

Don't think I'm doing any better. Looks like we won't have to hang on that long however. We'll either be into marshal law or The Lord will have returned.

Rumsfeld was interviewed by Charlie Rose on PBS last week or so. He was just awesome, and Rose's questions actually were good as well.

YOU SAID..."He says nothing because he doesn't want to see another civil war in this country."

Bush doesn't have the right to make that determination. This is a democratic republic, not a benevolent monarchy. The American people are entitled to know the truth about their elected leaders.

Saying nothing could possibly mean the eventual election of Hillary Clinton in 08.

If the Clintons have engaged in criminal and treasonous activities...the election of Hillary and eight more years of Clintonian politics may well lead to the destruction of this country.

No...you do the right thing...and let the chips fall where they may.

Rummy you sly dog! Talk about setting a bear trap.

They did breif the commission on Able Danger. I will also bet they turned over documentation to the commission as well. Rummy is setting them up to having to defend what happened to these documents.

Heeeeeee Heeeeeee Heeeeeee!
