Rumsfeld says that 9/11 Commission briefed about Able Danger

Rumsfeld is having a press conference. Under the Fox News Alert the big banner read:

Rumsfeld says that Able Danger briefed the 9/11 Commission.

Did anyone hear his remarks on this matter; all I've seen is the banner.

Savage's staff consists of him, a webmaster and his dog. Still, Savage was on this a week before "Vanity".

Well, at least the master, Rush, was onto something stinky when he found out goerelic was on the commission during the summer last year. And he still is. His show today was a classic.

It wont be long before the ratings will go: Rush, Savage, ... etc.

I guess I should have explained better. Yes, we are furious at democrats. I don't think we are to the "string them up from the nearest lamppost" stage.

Yes, the media is actively working against the administration. I don't think they have so-far called for open revolt by democrats.

The nation is right now in an uneasy truce. I think it wouldn't take much for there to be open conflict.

If your premise is true, then Bush is protecting the country and the government. Could you imagine the chaos that would ensue if it were ever known that the gov't of the US was purposely negligent on 9-11, for whatever reason? It wouldn't matter what party was in office. Not only would it weaken American citizens' trust in the government even more, but we would lose a ton of credibility in the world.

If your premise is true, Bush is protecting our country and government. Doesn't mean its right. But it is an understandable view.

Even if it did break up 4 months before 9-11, the FBI/CIA walls were still in place- and the Bush Admin had very little chance of knowing what and the heck was going on with that specific group. The only people who could make the link between Able Danger and informing the new Bush Admin would be Richard Clarke, who was miffed that he was passed over for NSA, and George Tenet.

Don't forget the Bush had to deal with China in the early months of his admin with that plane incident. I still want to know if the alleged plan of action against OBL and AQ was ever real, and delivered to Bush just a month before 9-11.

I worry though because it appears to me the Shaffer is going after why the group was disbanded too. He mentioned it on Fox & Friends last week and he mentioned to Tony Snow that the disbandment "is a whole other can of worms".

Somehow the media will turn it to hurt Bush, Rumsfeld and any other Republican involved.

Well, this "911 commission WAS briefed about Able Danger" plus "Three persons confirm Atta was known to Able Danger" == the commission (someone on it) KNEW about Atta & Able Danger.

The big question now is what happened to that knowledge?

I've still got a nagging question about whether the 'Toon's endorsement of the International Criminal Court (that Bush pulled) might have had a part to play in this stuff, too.
