DONNELLY, Idaho (AP) -- President Bush has rapped sharp critics of his Iraq war policy, saying they advocate a position that would weaken the United States.
Please leave the strategy to the military. It is nice you have opinions. It does not make them FACTS. The habit of the Cast Iron Conservatives, which they strangely share with the Hysteric Left, of stating their opinions as if they were holy writ is really annoying and tiresome
They will someday, and the Republic and people will pay dearly. The Republic will NEVER recover. It will be destroyed as it was founded. The day the socialists get control of all three at the same time again, you might as well get your red flag with hammer and sickle on it, cause that will become our national flag. And, each May 1st, we will march around the May Day flag pole like good little communists. Count on it.
I was a child during the Cold War, and the defeat of the Soviet Empire seemed nearly impossible. Much of American media was against strong objections to the reality of communism anywhere.
We prayed every day for "the conversion of Russia," when it seemed that only a miracle would make it happen. [I guess the miracle was named Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher.] That the Soviet Empire collapsed gives me faith to believe that Islamofascism will also collapse - if we remain strong and focused, (and keep praying.)
We will never be able to kill all of the people who hate us, and there's evidence that the more of them we kill, the more that replace them. So, according to you, we can NEVER declare victory and leave Iraq. Because that would just be spun in Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and elsewhere as running away in defeat. You can't let idiots like that dictate our policies. What if we let Democrat spin on various things dictate our actions? These nutjobs can spin whatever they want however they want. Once these insurgents are exclusively targeting Iraqis, I bet that hellfire will reign down on them. Arabs can be plenty bloodthirsty and plenty un-PC. Turn Iraqis loose on these mf-ers who are trying to kill their families. They will take care of business. We just have to give them the opportunity and make them seize that opportunity because they can't just let us do the heavy lifting.
You know, you didn't actually disagree with anything I said. You posted a non sequitur.
Well said and absolutely correct! With friends like the American left, we truly don't need any enemies - they ARE the enemy.

You are now Blessed by the Freeper fairy.
Espcially the arm chair gerenals....
What is your opinion on American forces in Germany, Japan, South Korea, Kosovo, etc? Shouldn't those countries be able to handle their own defense, according to your logic?
EXACTLY right. Wonder what they would of said about causalities on Omaha Beach, the Sugar Loaf On Okinawa, or Pork Chop Hill. Sorry, as painful as it is for the Cast Iron Conservatives to deal with, Militarily this is "Scatter light casualties" Despite being a racist nut job, Forrest had it right "War means fighting and fighting means killing". It also means some of your guys die. Funny how the Military understands this yet some people who "claim" to support the troops weep such crocodile tears while they use the scarifies a a tawdry political prop to beat up on domestic political foes. Wonder if the people who are so busy screaming "bring them home NOW" also lobbied their Congress critters to raise the Military pay and benefits, especially the recently raised Death Benefit.
Sorry!!! Lost track of the flood of comments on this thread and missed my extra posts.
well, we do want a certain degree of stability over there. remember, we are hanging our hat on the accomplishment of a stable country in the middle east - still a noble and important goal.
my main point is, we have to decouple the idea of US victory from meaning that iraq is like some shangri-la. its not going to be. Los Angeles isn't, we can't stop gang violence in LA, these car bombs are going to be part of the iraqi security problem for a very long time to come. so long as its their forces dealing with it; hey, that's life.
Aain? It's ALL ABOUT THE OIL?
So, let us drill in ANWR idiot and we won't need their stinkin' oil!
We don't have over 100K troops in any of those places.
Again? It's ALL ABOUT THE OIL?
So, let us drill in ANWR idiot and we won't need their stinkin' oil!
Has Bush, and if so, how often, said that in clear terms to America and the world? He needs to lay out objective ways to measure when victory is in hand.
the military strategy, in this phase of operations, has been unable to "solve" the fact that we take most of our KIA because our guys are driving all over the country in convoys being blown up by IEDs. we are not losing most of our forces in offensive military operations - while killing the enemy. that equation has to change.
if we tie our success or failure there to total pacification of roadside bombers and suicide drivers - that won't work, those problems are not going away in iraq for a long time. we must decouple our success from that.
You did not answer the question.
^^^^What is your opinion on American forces in Germany, Japan, South Korea, Kosovo, etc?^^^^^
Since you have written your preference for our pulling out of Iraq, a fragile new country, I wanted to know how you viewed the deployment of American forces to more stable countries.
