I am an independent and have become uneasy about what is happening in Iraq. The constitutional crises now going on is pitting the various factions against each other. What bothers me the most, however, is the fact that Iraq is on it's way to becoming a country ruled by islamofacists. I realize this was not our goal, but the reality is our policy there has created a situation that does exactly the opposite of what we wanted.
How does this benefit the US?
We also had problems when our Constitution was brought in..
"We also had problems when our Constitution was brought in.."
Because of lawyers and judges, we continue to have them.
Goodbye.
Sir Hirohoto will be most pleased...
Why don't I ask the other questions? Because I am satisfied with the answers.
This question nags me. Sorry if I don't fit into your world view of what a Bush supporter should be. I am not here to do anything more than make sense out of what is going on in Iraq.
" Sure they might democratically chose to let the islamofacists rule, so it is their choice. "
You sound like someone doiing a bad parody of what the left thinks a conservative would say.
"My goal is to clear up the confusion."
What confusion would that be?
Please add me to your VK/ZOT ping list.
Thanks!
"The information I have comes from news sources."
The troops over there are P.O'd with the news services because the news services are not being honest.
That about says it all.
Well I have prior posts newbie and I wonder the same thing thing thorlock does. I think the inclusion of Islamic law in the Iraqi Constitution is a bad thing...
Iraq likely to enshrine Islam as main source of law
So JMA if you want. I fire back.
News sources or propaganda sources? If your assertions are accurate, there are empirical news sources that can provide an accurate assessment of the situation. And I don't mean from a potentially biased individual like a Syrian "political expert," who most likely has his own stake in Islamic law to shove down our collective throats.
I have no problem with discussing this rationally, but I will not waste my time arguing with liberal talking points. Provide evidence from an empirical source, and we can talk. Otherwise, you know where the door is.
Please let me know if you want ON or OFF my Viking Kitty/ZOT ping list!. . .don't be shy.
" I am not here to do anything more than make sense out of what is going on in Iraq."
Actually it sounds like you are here to try to stir up some trouble.
You have had people attempt to explain that there is a right way and a wrong way to discuss this.
The wrong way is to accept at face value what the LAME stream media says is going on as they have been caught lying.
The wrong way is to go into the disussion with the predetermined point that what you heard from the LAME stream media is 100% accurate.
To be honest, the media only reports facts when the facts back up their biases.
Keep that in mind.
The troops throughout history are po'd with the media. That doesn't mean that the media always gets it wrong.
You missed it:
THE MEDIA HAS BEEN CAUGHT LYING.
There, perhaps in all caps it will be easier for you to read.

Plenty of evidence. Google.
"Provide evidence from an empirical source, and we can talk. Otherwise, you know where the door is".
There is no need to show such rudeness to new posters.
Of course that's what they wish. No questioning of the party will be tolerated.
nb4dzot?
Is anyone saying a theocracy in Iraq would be a good thing?
Like I said, I'll continue to discussed Iraq & Terrorism on other threads - but I don't bother playing with the Kool-aid crowd even when others see them or useful allies.
