For those of you in the DC area, we need some additional FReepers to join us for FReeping Code Pink every Friday night, until further notice, starting at 6:30 pm and until about 9:30 pm. How about coming out this Friday? You can join us in progress if you can't make the beginning of the event.

Can you sacrifice an evening to honor the much greater sacrifice that the troops are making for our freedom?

Unfortunately, I won't be able to go this Friday. I've been to 17 of the 18 FReeps as I missed one when helping a relative with a medical problem. I would ask all who read this to go in my place this Friday if that is at all possible.

DC Chapter co-leader kristinn has confirmed that we shall continue FReeping the Code Pinkos every Friday night until they stop their obscene blood dance outside the hospital of our war-wounded. If you agree with me that it is outrageous for Code Pinkos to demonstrate at a hospital with war-wounded troops inside, please come out and join us in a peaceful counter-protest.

One of the amputees told me months ago that he doesn't want other wounded troops coming into Walter Reed and seeing only the Code Pinkos at the gates. He explained that the FReeper presence there was extremely important to counter the Pinkos. Please join us and be a part of our peaceful counter-protest to Code Pink.

Please don't let the troops think that regular Americans are too busy with TV, ballgames, movies and other recreation to peacefully counter America-hating leftists.

Being there with us in spirit is great, but we need people to hold the MOAB (Mother of all banners), other signs, and flags. Maybe you can't come every week, but please make it your patriotic duty to join us at least once in the near future.

As always, the DC Chapter's rules for protesting will be in effect.

Briefly, they are: No violence. No profanity. No racism. No provocations. Obey the law. Treat all law enforcement officers with respect.

Start at 6:30 pm and go to about 9:30 pm.

Walter Reed Army Medical Center, 7200 Georgia Ave., at Elder St., NW

Code Pinkos have been setting up on the southwest corner of the Georgia Ave/Elder St intersection. We've been setting up on the northeast corner across the street from Walter Reed's entrance gate.

DC Chapter ping!

FReepmail me or post a reply to get on or off the list.

Injured Walter Reed patients, including amputees, have repeatedly told us how important it is for us to be there to counter Code Pink.

If we can sufficiently outnumber the leftists often enough, embarrassment may cause the leftists to stop these outrageous morale-damaging ("Maimed for a lie" is one of their signs) demonstrations at the hospital.

The same FReepers are doing almost all of the these FReeps. We do so gladly as a labor of love for our brave troops fighting terrorists over there, instead of waiting for the terrorists to come here. We FReep especially for those wounded in combat. However, some FReepers' family vacations or other obligations may prevent some of them from coming this next Friday.

Our troops are bold enough to face bullets, mortars, IEDs, and suicide bombers. Are you bold enough to get out from behind the keyboard, FReep in person, and stand up for the wounded troops at Walter Reed?

If you're in the DC area and don't have family or work considerations that keep you from FReeping, can you spare a few hours on a Friday night? Will you?

What a tearjerker. Thanks for sharing - GR8 pic ... and thanks for such a detailed description and call for support. Hope you have 30 next time.

Bless you D.C. Freepers for standing up to what's RIGHT about our country.

(it had just rained and a couple very tiny drops, barely noticeable, fell during the FReep)

That's not possible. It never rains on the DC Chapter.

I forgot to ask you to do your magic last week.

How about it this week?

Hope that you can make it this week, even though I can't.

Thank you. Thank you to all of you and your chapter.

I sometimes think I live in the Belly of the Beast up here in Massachusetts, but you folks have to take the cake.

Please keep up your good work, all of you. I try to make a yearly trip down to DC to visit my father's grave in Arlington National Cemetery, I am going to try to plan my next one to coincide with one of your counter-protests so that I can participate.

I was finally able to read "back pack" boys sign:

The Extreme Right Wing
* Slanders grieving mothers
* Shoots up peaceful vigils
* Runs over crosses
* How long before they start burning them again?

These "people" (using that term lightly) are shameless.

Congratulations on the turn-out YOU made happen!

Your report, as always, was a welcome few minutes of reading.

This week is still in question around here, will keep in touch...

It looks and sounds like a wonderful time was had by all, Bill!

Couldn't make the Free this past Friday. We had two planes that came in late (9:00pm) and had to be blocked, chocked, Post Flighted and gassed.

Didn't finish up until around 11:00pm.

Hope to throw in on the 26th and give Vega some rubs under the chin at a future FReep.

Jack.

In the picture where Squeegee Guy first arrives, Crazy Backpack Guy is holding another of his barely legible signs. With my expert Halliburton Pinko-Scrawl Translator, I uncoded the following:

The extreme right…
Slanders grieving mothers
Shoots up peaceful vigils
Runs over crosses
How long ‘til they start
Bushing them again?

Apparently he thinks Cindy Sheehan is a laudable role model.

God bless you all. If I am ever in DC I will join you (I live in upstate NY). By the way, some of us FReepers like cats AND dogs! And every gay woman I've ever met likes big dogs. Weird, huh?

First of all, extraordinary work you Freepers are doing in the DC area in general and Walter Reed specifically.

After several weeks of reading about this demonstration I finally can’t stand it any longer.

All I hear about is Freepers at this demonstration are you not getting support from any other group? Have you contacted anyone else?

I have had success with the YR’s , CCR’s , Calvary Church and VNVA. there are others but these groups are our best shot out here.

I avoid contacting VNVA unless I really need people since I feel that they have done more than enough.

Also I haven’t heard any of you guys (no gender) calling into any of the national talk shows. Have you called into any of them national or local? How about Rolling Thunder they are close to you I believe?

You guys cant be the only ones that are willing to show our support especially for the recovering wounded and their families.

I would be out there with you every week if I were within 100-150mi. Rather difficult from Orange Co, CA.

To quote the governor of California: "Enough talk!"

This cr@p didn't end for Vietnam until Kent State, when protesters found out they were physically at risk if they tried to cause their country's defeat.

"The Pinkos other goal is too demoralize those wounded troops..."

This is absolutely the most despicable thing I have heard in a long, long time. I'm not sure if my tears are from anger at the pinko protesters, shame that they would do this to heroes that have given parts of themselves for us (even them), or pity for the soldiers. I'm proud and pleased that the wounded still have the grit to give them the finger. I won't say what I would like to give them, but it's the same thing you would give a rattle snake.
