Ever since 9/11, I have been impressed with Rep Rob Andrews (D-NJ) He does not seem to get involved in the partisan mudslinging and as far as I can tell, puts National Security before politics.
He seems to be one of the few dems I can respect. However, cynic that I am, I know looks can be deceiving, so I am asking you.
Is my respect misplaced or is he the real deal?
Thanks in advance.
If you are a republican, why in the world would you want to empower a democrat?
I'm from the next state over (PA) ..
But what I know of Rob Anderws ... is VERY liberal
Yes and no. His voting record falls a little to the right of ted "the diver" kennedy.
You could look at the following for background on Rep. Andrews:

Thanks, I will check the link.
Rated 100% by NARAL, indicating a pro-choice voting record. (Dec 2003)
Like I said .. he is VERY Liberal
Don't want to empower him and if he is left of Kennedy, I would certainly not vote for him.
That leaves his character. I have become so used to the MO of Kennedy, Leahy, Boxer, et al that when I see one who seems to have character, I ask for a reality check.
Whoa....about that link.
Talk about a reality check. "Liberal" does not do his record justice.
Glad I finally put that to rest.
You only need to know one thing about Rob Andrews: He's Jim Florio's handpicked successor for that Congressional seat.
