From a defense point of view, Arabs will fire on Israel from any territory they control.
[Well if surrounded, hopefully the capacity to do that will be limited; if it gets out of hand there are various scenarios, perhaps ending up with some international occupying force, I don't know]

You and I know that the problem and the solution is and has always been with the Arabs. But the World blames Israel. So why should the Arabs change? They won't and there will be no solution.

Well, well, well, what a surprise! And knowing that Abbas won't move a finger to stop the fanatics, we can expect more attacks and suicide bombings against Israel and its people.
You know, I want to add my 2 cents on what Israel should do. IMHO the biggest threat to existence Israel is demographics. Even in Israel proper itself there's 20% of "Fifth Column" hostile Arab population which will never get assimilated and which multplies like rabbits. We all say France will soon become Muslim, and there I believe the percentage of Muslims is currently only 10%. When you take into account also Judea & Samaria, you almost have a one-to-one ratio which very soon will shift in Muslim Arab favor. What to do? First of all unilateraly disengage!! Keep Jerusalem, provide territorial contiguity between Jerusalem and Maale Adunim, keep as many West Bank settlements as possible and put them behind the Wall, maybe exchange some heavily Arab populated Israel-proper territory like Galillee triangle with some equivalent territory size on the West Bank. There's no other way to solve this conflict otherwise short of expelling Arabs from the West Bank. You know Israel might have to forfeit claim to some historical Jewish places in the West Bank, but survival of current Israel should be more imnportant.

I hope this is the prelude to showing the world that the Palis lie about everything and that Sharon can nuke them into ether after showing the world that he gave them "what they wanted" and it was never enough.
