COMPILATION MUSIC WEEKEND!

Welcome To The Canteen Music Dedication!!
If you've ever written us with questions regarding why we don't play a certain genre of music, this is your weekend!

~ Music Mix I ~
Great Guitar Solos

This music section pays tribute to some of the greatest guitar solos in Rock N Roll. If you're interested, this was from a compilation. We're only giving you a sample!! (A section we dedicate to Diva Betsy Ross!! She rocks ya know!)
*Before anyone complains, we know some of you like to complain: This isn't the entire list of guitar solos. Just a small sampling.

What's that sound you hearing? Oh that! That's hotstreak gagging. He's only into guitar songs that are drowned out by loud drums.

It seems you have a cross-linked sector in your Door's song "Riders on the Storm". Look around 3:11 into the song.

It wasn't my career, either, and it's probably just as well, but meeting notes always have room for doodles.

Music Incoming!
(Please support the artists below!)

Genre: Old School Rap
Artist: Kool Moe Dee
Song:

I Go To Work

Wild Wild West

Sidenote: One day the Sailor and MoJo were in the car listening to Rush Limbaugh.
When he came back from a commercial break, the first song was jamming on Rush's show.
We laughed! Not that this is really important, but I just thought you needed to know.
Why Kool Moe Dee? Well, I was in that section of the library!

*** Please ping laurenmarlowe to any song requests
made on the thread. Thank you! ***

Let me be the sixtieth or so person to point out that Black Sabbath is NOT responsible for "Crazy Train"- That's Ozzy's band with Randy.

I've been playing lead for 28 yrs. now and maybe somebody will take a cue from some of the stuff I like.

Best Instrumental Guitar Albums:
Crystal Planet (Joe Satriani)
Time Odyssey (Vinnie Mooore)
Maximum Security (Tony MacAlpine)

Best Live Classic Rock Albums:
The Song Remains the Same (Led Zeppelin)
On Stage (Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow)
Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush Live

Best Progressive Rock Albums:
Fragile (Yes)
Images and Words (Dream Theater)
Power Windows (Rush)

You can argue all day long with these factually incontrovertible assertions..... and you might well be right. Picking the "best" of anything is tough, but if you like any one of the albums above, check out the others.

I wouldn't steer you wrong.

Actually, you'll have to take it up with the record company that put together the compilation of *Greatest Guitar Solos*.

Thanks for the information. That's what makes these threads useful.
