Explosion Shakes Downtown San Francisco
(KCBS) - Office buildings shook in downtown San Francisco shortly before ten o'clock on Friday morning.
Early reports indicated some kind of explosion.
"I heard this enormous bang," Dave Kavedaris, who works downtown, told KCBS. "It shook our building. There's an enormous amount of debris out into the street."
Police and fire crews responded to the explosion.
KCBS reporter Holly Quan at the scene said that several buildings in the area were evacuated, including the Crocker Galleria.
The explosion seemed to affect the Ralph Lauren store at the corner of Kearny and Post.
I climbed up on the roof. I can't see any mushroom clouds from here. I'll go back up and keep an eye out as soon as my microwave popcorn is done cooking.
Amber Frey is on FOX talking about her motivational speaking tour (I'm serious)
I've found from experience that people cope in different ways with potential trauma. Humor being one of them until the stuff hits the fan.
At that point, experience has also taught me, people with a balanced view of incoming trouble, and a very active humor gene are the most helpful, competent doers in times of crisis.
So lighten up.
Source is me, I'm in a building across the street. It may turn out to be a somewhat minor transformer accident, too early to say if it was a bomb.
Maybe Barry Bond's steroids are finally taking their impact on him?
