Two Illegal Immigrants Win Arizona Ranch in Court Fight

ANDREW POLLACK
Published: August 19, 2005

DOUGLAS, Ariz., Aug. 18 - Spent shells litter the ground at what is left of the firing range, and camouflage outfits still hang in a storeroom. Just a few months ago, this ranch was known as Camp Thunderbird, the headquarters of a paramilitary group that promised to use force to keep illegal immigrants from sneaking across the border with Mexico.

David Bowser for The New York Times

The New York Times

Now, in a turnabout, the 70-acre property about two miles from the border is being given to two immigrants whom the group caught trying to enter the United States illegally.

What rights do these illegals have under our system?

A better question is, what rights do citizens have when dealing with Bush's illegals? The answer is we have none, because there are no illegals. America has already been compromised and we are no longer a sovereign nation.

The North American Community has already taken over America, and citizens are beginning to learn that the lowest peasant in this third world hemisphere has as many or more "rights" in America than citizens.

Isn't it happening right before our eyes? yet people here will swear it is not happening. Unbelievable!

I heard this story on Fox this morning. They didn't say much but ED was a little excited about it. I had to come online to find any info tho. I think I'm just about at my wits end. What can we really do? I am ready to do something, but I haven't a clue what would be effective. I thought voting for Bush was the right thing to do (and of course I still think Kerry was a much worse choice). But now....I'm really, for the first time in a long time starting to find myself siding with people I've always thought were part of the tin hat crowd. It really DOES appear that the President is at best stupid and at worst complicit. I just don't see him doing anything that will stop this madness (or even making an attempt or speaking out.)

Things are lining up for civil war II or our own special version of the balkans party.

Since when does an illegal alien have standing in such a court by which to receive the property? Any claim they might have against the rancher was produced by violation of law that the illegal initiated by virtue of being here.

I heard this story on Fox this morning.

I usually sleep with Fox on and this one woke me up this morning. It was like "huh?" I woke the wife up and said "did you hear that?" After she kicked me out of the room I went to the computer to look for the story. Unreal.

Just read the whole story...the two illegals have been given special visas since they are crime victims, so they are technically no longer illegal.

The judgment was entered as the result of a 2003 case of assault against Nethercott in Texas which received a lot of postings here on FR at the time.

The ranch property was signed over to the victims by Nethercott's sister as part of the $500,000 judgement against Nethercott.

Someone should file to have the property condemned for the construction of a hotel and museum - think of what it will do for the property taxes!

You are forgetting that illegal aliens are now a politically protected class.

I'm not forgetting anything. I want to know the citations whereby this judge has acted.

"In what may be the first documented case of a non-terrorist, American citizen being held without charges under terms of the so-called “Patriot Act”, Arizona rancher Casey Nethercott was arrested March 1, 2004 by exclusive and arbitrary order of Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano."

The Strange Case Of Casey Nethercott

I get the feeling her idea of border emergency has to do with us STOPPING them from coming in, not them coming.

"Didn't things get to a point like this when they held
the Boston Tea Party? "

Things have gone WAY past the point at which our Forefathers rebelled.

The Tax they rebelled over actually decreased the price of tea in America, but it was the fact that they had no representation in GB that caused the furor.

I think it's time we moved the capital west of the Mississippi and turn Washington into a parking lot.

It's even better than that. If you just invade militarily, you have the problem of controlling the local population (just ask the Israelis). If you inundate them with your own people, then that problem disappears.

The American Indian knows what happens if you let numerous aliens into your country!
