Dengue fever outbreak in Mexico causing concern in Texas [Hemorrhagic Strain of the Disease]
KENS 5 Eyewitness News ^ | 08/18/2005 | Angela Kocherga

An outbreak of dengue fever in Mexico has health officials here in Texas keeping a watchful eye across the border.

More than 100 people have been infected in the southern state of Morelos. Several people have the hemorrhagic strain of the disease that causes bleeding and, if untreated, possibly death. To prevent the spread of the disease, health workers need to enlist the help of the residents.

Oswaldo Zambrano, dengue fever prevention program director, says the enemy lives among them. He warns residents that they are providing a safe haven for the mosquitoes that carry dengue fever.

Many homes have standing water, which provides a perfect breeding ground for infected mosquitoes. A chemical that is safe for human and animal consumption must be mixed into the water to prevent new infestations.

The movement of people poses another challenge. If someone from an area where there's been an outbreak of dengue fever travels to another place, that person can be bitten by mosquitoes in the new location and the infection will spread.

Thus, it is critical to control the disease in every region of Mexico and reach every home during the rainy season. And if you're planning a trip to an area of Mexico where there's outbreak, use mosquito repellant.

Well, bayourod, looks like you've been outed again for the quisling you are. This seems to be happening on several threads almost daily.

You may want to call on your co-quislings for backup.

Or, you can always try whining to the Admin Mod again, even though that doesn't seem to be working very well for you.

That actually happened in Seattle. I live in a small town a few hours out. Around here we know which restaurants to avoid.

And WHY isn't our government concerned about the diseases coming across the border?

That's the high dollar question, isn't it. Big biz gets their slave labor, CAFTA, or maybe trying to keep Mexico from going Commie by taking in all their would be revolutionaries.

Maybe we should stop asking why the Government isn't doing their job and start doing it for ourselves by supporting groups like the Minutemen.

I think the good people of Mexico
want to stay there and make it a
good country.

So many of the illegals are criminals.
They come here to rape, kill & pilage.

Very few come here to be honest citizens.
And if they are so HONEST, why don't they
come here legally? It can't be that difficult
to do.

The best part is in one single keystroke it becomes 'the roid' as in pass the suppositories. Appropos.

To ALL,
Always remember to PING Freeper 'Bayoufraud' to 'Bayourods' posts! Bayoufraud has yet to respond, so I'm guessing it's bayourods true identity. In fact a Google search of Bayoufraud asks:
"Did you mean: bayoufraud;bayourod?

Unless we get over 40% of the Hispanic vote in 2008, President Hillary will take all your guns away

Remember this gem?

You may be right about the good people of Mexico. But then there is that recent poll claiming close to 50% want to come to the US and 1 in 5 are prepared to do so illegally.

And it is not difficult for them to come legally. At least come legally to work then return. The forms sit and collect dust.

Yeah, that one was a real beaut. So...when are you going to come up with another knee slapper like that one, Bayoufraud, er I mean Bayourod?
...and what does happen to the other *60% percent "of the Hispanic vote", in your scenario?
