ANTI-WAR protester Cindy Sheehan said today she would temporarily be leaving her camp site near President George W. Bush's ranch because her mother had suffered a stroke.
"We just had a terrible call," Mrs Sheehan told reporters. "My mom had a stroke."
Mrs Sheehan, whose vigil has drawn attention to her demands for the withdrawal of troops from Iraq, said she plans to fly to Los Angeles to assess the situation and hoped to return in the next 24 hours.
Mrs Sheehan's 24-year-old son, Casey, was killed in combat in Iraq.
She said supporters, sometimes numbering in the hundreds, would remain at the camp in her absence.
"This woman is so hard to look at. She looks like Prince Charles."
Liberal, ugly and stupid is a hell of a way to go through life.
I think she bogarted the microphone too long too.
Cindy had become an embarassment to their movement.
Caught with President Bush planting a kiss on her cheek, caught making anti-semetic remarks, caught getting her hair done by a professional hairdresser before her weaping mother act on television.
They will be able to push the protest into high gear without her.
Of course, you point out the flaw in the protest. It was "supposed" to be about Cindy meeting with Bush while he stayed at his ranch in Crawford.
Then again, MoveOn.Org was about pushing for censure of Bill Clinton for perjury and then "moving on".

This poor homely woman with the Jimmy Durante nose has spent a lifetime without attention. Now she is the darling of the liberal media and she is loving it.
Is she grieving for her son? Well maybe it started that way, but now she is getting off on the attention.
Cindy reaally seems to have bad karma
Sad to hear - I hope she'll be ok. However, I can't help but wonder how long it will take until people on DU are blaming this on Karl Rove.

If you want to see compassion, make your way over to DUmmy underground or any of the other leftist sites where you no doubt while away most of your time. You will find the leftist there--yourself included--very compassionate indeed...not. A bunch of illiterate, foul-mouthed juveniles.

They make me beyond angry. Worse yet, they are the enemy within that is IMO more dangerous than the enemy abroad. As such, they must be identified and dispatched with all haste.
