LOL!
Everytime I see Sam Waterston from Law and Order do a commercial for TD Waterhouse I tell my wife: "I'm not a certified financial adviser, but I play a district attorney on TV!"

If a 13-year-old wants to have an abortion, thats her decision and her parents shouldnt get a look-in. If a 21-year-old wants to drop to the Oval Office shagpile and chow down on Bill Clinton, shes a grown woman and free to do what she wants. But, if a 22- or 25- or 37-year old is serving his country overseas, hes a wee child who isnt really old enough to know what hes doing. Says it all in a nutshell.

Add two more names to the list of people I will never pay to see in a movie theater or watch on TV. At least you know who they are. I've never heard of them and have never seen either one.
Strongly doubt I'm missing much.
And a big old ping to Mr. Steyn. I remember screaming at my TV last year, when Micky Moore was on O'Reilly and was pushing O'Reilly about sending his "children" to Iraq, that our armed forces were trained professional adults, not a group of six-year-olds!!! Too bad O'Reilly couldn't have said that.

True. But Gimli could still kick Aragorn's ass.

It was suggested by the columnist Cal Thomas that Bush should agree to a (second) meeting in public. Cindy Sheehan could let rip, but there would also be other bereaved moms of soldiers who dont feel as she does, and maybe some bereaved Iraqi moms to tell of their gratitude for the liberation of their country from a psycho regime. Its a fine idea, and Im sure the reason Bush wont do it is because he understands that Mrs Sheehan is having a mental breakdown in public and it would be cruel to take advantage of that. If only the Michael Moore Left had that much decency. Exactly, and very well said.

It used to be just Jane Fonda films I avoided, but this is really getting to the point where I will only be watching FNC and C-SPAN.

I keep keepin on, in the hope that I will see a light at the end of this tunnel. Why do I feel such a sense of relief right now? I don't know. But I feel such an enormous weight being lifted. The groundswell of support for our troops against the vile actions prepetrated in Crawford these past weeks...I'm going off to find some tissues. Back later. Keep up the good work, please.

The funny thing about Mortensen is that, although he is an intense sissy leftist, he will always be remembered for his role as Aragorn - a character that is the complete opposite of his personality and ideology in every way. My biggest remembrance of Aragorn (as portrayed by VM) is that his hair was always scraggly, sometimes to the point of distraction to what was actually going on in the movie. Sure wish goldilocks would've slipped him some shampoo and conditioner.
