Elementary schools shouldn't be teaching homosexuality

The Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN) has been busy for 10 years ... creating gay student groups at hundreds of high schools and passing laws or regulations that limit or eliminate harassment aimed at homosexuals....The organization has also used part of its $4.3 million budget to promote a reading list for students as young as those in kindergarten....
At the high school level, some of this indoctrination might be excused on the grounds that students are old enough to make personal choices and maybe some of them can define terms like "sexuality" and "gender."
No such excuse can be made for this kind of social indoctrination at the elementary level.
The very idea that GLSEN and other groups are busy offering "educational resources" or training programs to elementary school teachers in order to create a more "affirming environment" for gay students is appalling....

Kindergarteners shouldn't be taught about any kind of sexuality. It is the job and the prerogative of parents. The article describes the parent arrested in Massachusetts while trying to have his child's elementary school agree to notify him if they were going to "teach" about homosexuality...

This is a crying shame that any human would want to teach an innocent pure child about the filth of homosexuality or other perversions. What a shame! Perversions are a real curse upon our nation.

See their actions just prove that homosexuality is a learned behavior. If are just "born that way", why this push to indoctrinate younger and younger children? God, I hope my great great great grandson won't be considered to be in "the closet" because he likes a girl.

There are some (educators, special interest groups, etc.) who believe AIDS/HIV awareness should be taught at the kindergarden level.

Ditto. To educate children on the "arts" of homosexuality is to corrupt young minds with the abomination. And woe to them.

Teachers that attempt to teach minors about homosexuality should be charged with child abuse.
Why isn't that law on the books already?

It's a christian private school and it is in the rule book. If they discover a child is homosexual they will be kicked out of the school. The rules in this school are very strict. My kids aren't even allowed to attend rock concerts according to school rules.

anyone teaching this crud to a elementary school kids should be thrown in jail.

And this is one of the biggest hypocrisies about the homosexual agenda. They present this lifestyle as a truly "gay" experience, while refusing to educate children on the serious health issues related to this behavior. In fact, any attempts to even cite CDC statitics is met with cries of persecution. If this were any other behavior-related health issue, the government would be obliged to inform the public of the dangers; but because of the power of the Gay lobby, these "risks" are ignored.

Their excuse is that you need to teach about it because all the straight people are bigots eager to harm "gay children."
I think there is something to be said for this argument, since I recall distinctly that effeminate boys and boyish girls were treated horribly when I was in school; however, I think that all harrassment should be educated against, at age-appropriate levels. Teaching that homosexuality is "natural" and "normal" is not the way to go, IMO.
