I'll leave you with these questions......were you equally appalled when the Jewish people were blown up sitting at coffee shops? Riding to work on buses? At a Bar Mitzvah?

If you're a praying person, a person of faith in G-d, not allah, do you pray for Israel? For her safety? For HER concerns???

It is a constitutional issue. If GWB has been working for Israel, he should be impeached.

That's the wild card in the mideast. The Palestinians have been played for chumps by the Arabs, and that can't last forever. If they made peace with the Jews they would prosper and become the dominant force in the Arab world. Palestinian revenge against the Arab states instead of Israel is a real fear in their world.

This is an interesting enough idea that I'd like to explore it further, even if it is a bit off-topic from the original post. What do you think it would take to bring about such an alliance? What form would it take? My guess is that at minimum the Israelis would have to accede to the demands for a Palestinian state, and the the Palis would have to agree to the notion of Israel's right to exist. Those two points alone make me think it is somewhat unlikely.

FWIW I have thought for a long time that the Palis would "win" their "war" against the Israelis if they would adopt non-violent tactics, something akin to Gandhi or the civil rights movement of the 1950s in this country. Then essentially all the nations of the world would be falling all over themselves to jump on the Pali bandwagon, even more so than they do now. But as long as they keep shooting and blowing up kids and other civilians, there will be that element of revulsion for their cause. This was the scenario penned by Clancy in his one novel and I think it might have some credibility.

Because I believe in the Constitution I am an anti-Semite? Wow!!!

LOL! Your posts have nothing to do with the Constitution. If you believed in the Constitution you would not be such an anti-semite. And I don't why you are an anti-semite. But you are, and FR is not an anti-semitic forum. Perhaps you should have researched it before you joined today. And I sense troll here as well. You won't last here, and I look forward to your speedy departure.

But, perhaps you can show me where the President of the United States has a Constitutional duty to protect Israel?

He doesn't. If, as you suggest, he's working in Israel's interest rather than that of the US, he should be impeached. John Conyers has raised the issue, I believe, another Cindy syncopate.

First Gaza, now the West Bank, eh? Didn't take you people long, did it. One word: NEVER!

It's an ancient tactic. Israel is fighting for survival. This same tactic was used to defeat Rome and the Russians used it to beat Germany in world war II. Retreat to trap the enemy. The settlers are just pawns in a much bigger game of nations.

Perhaps I'm just against gunning down innocent people. I know....anti-American.

Really? Funny, we didn't see you here when the islamists were gunning down and blowing up innocent jews. Where were you?

"I don't know maybe it's all just a coincidence. "

Nope. It's a logical conclusion. This world is operating with the view there is no Living G-d that rules in the affairs of men.

If their objective was a state, you're right. In fact they "won" at Camp David in 2000. Unfortunately the objective is the destruction of Israel, and they won't get that.

does this hypothetically mean a PO'ed settler deciding to bury a slug in a Palestinian newborn's skull is morally just?

Of course not. And as you said, it is hypothetical.

However, Palestinians have, not hypothetically but in reality, intentionally and deliberately buried slugs in Israeli infant's skulls, as well as grabbing Jewish toddlers by the feet and smashing their skulls against a rock, and also positioning themselves in a crowd of Israeli mothers and babies in strollers aboard buses or in restaurants and shopping malls. Does that not outrage you?

(Crickets still chirping)

So where were you when islamists were blowing up and gunning down innocent Jews? Or don't they count as people?

"NO good can come from this!"

We have no idea. The global forces behind this just burned the wrong bunch of people.

I'm not so sure I don't see Hitler in the United States of America. Wait -- before you zot me... I don't see him now, but I'm so sick of this namby-pamby give away the store to swine that don't know what to do with a civilization besides crap in it that I'm already ready to vote for a strongman who can restore order. And I'm enough of a student of history to know that that is the predictable end of a Republic. But what are ya' gonna do, let it descend into anarchy and a Blade Runner world? I don't think so. I suppose politically I'd me more of a fascist because I don't believe in socializm in any way shape or form, but I believe it is possible to be a Nationalist without descending to the level of fascist, and that's what I'd like to see here.

But I don't even know if that's possible because I think we need some martial law, and some suspension of the free press in the case of irresponsible, treasonous, and seditious reporting, and some jailing of traitors in Congress, among other places. Put me in the category of Lincoln on the Constitution. No point in following it to the letter if that's going to get us all killed anyway. I'm not ready to die to make an abstract political point. I'm only ready to die for God's Truth, not man's politics.

OK.

That's unfortunate, because the Scriptures tell us that a godless world will be taken by surprise by the return of the Lord. How bad could it be to TRULY believe in your heart that the "Great and Terrible Day" will never come, when suddenly to have it upon you?!

...talking about SHOCK?!

"But, perhaps you can show me where the President of the United States has a Constitutional duty to protect Israel?"

That's not even the issue. He does have a moral obligation, speaking on behalf of the majority who voted for him, not to strongarm and coerce a longtime ally into a situation that will seriously compromise, if not endanger, their longterm security.
