The best way to avoid this and more is by staying off the territories and the life of other countries. He who lives by the sword dies by the sword. Eventually, if the US continues invading countries, the US too will be invaded. This is just the way life is, believe it or reject it, laugh at it or accept it!

Karma would not eventually hurt the US, if the US did not always act selfishly. Remember, "To him that much is given, much is expected of." But, the US does not help countries and/or groups when there is no benefit to the US.

It is obvious why the US protected and protects Saudi Arabia. It is obvious why the US helped and protected Mr. Bin Laden, and it is obvious that the US might still be protecting him. The US helped the Shah of Iran when the US needed him, then the US abandoned him. The US helped Mr. Noriega (Panama) when it needed him, then the US imprisoned him. The US helped Mr. Saddam when the US needed him, then the US imprisoned him. Now, the US has more people in prison in Iraq than Mr. Saddam ever did! I could go on and on!

Why is the middle class vanishing in the US? Is it because maybe it is not needed any more? The US rich feel comfortable, secure, and confident; more poor people around means more servant like beings at the ready. Is it, maybe, possible that the US rich are too confident and blind to see that technology allows few secrets?! Have they forgotten what happens in any country, when there are too many poor people who are aware of what is really going on?!

The US has gargantuan problems at home, and the US has no need to meddle in the life of other countries.

Captured documents after the collapse of the USSR showed that the Soviets thought they'd have a terrible time subjugating two of the 50 US states, Texas and Alabama. If your state wasn't mentioned, why not? It behooves every state to have a citizen militia to call on for its own defense. We get that by making sure our children 1) love freedom, 2) have a sense of individual responsibility, and 3) know how to shoot well.

What are you talking about?

Exactly what did we have to gain by going to Somalia trying to feed the starving while being shot at?

What did we have to gain by throwing the Serbs out of Kosovo to protect Muslims of all things?

We send more money, food and medicine aid all over the world than any other country period.

We sent men and material to the Tsunami struck areas sooner and in far greater quantity than anyone else. Not much of a thank you.

The "poor" in this country are wealthier than they have ever been before. They have a higher standard of living than the Europeans. In fact the "poor" in the US are better off than most of the "middle class" in Europe. Fact.

"To him that much is given, much is expected of."

And our sons and daughters are dying overseas right now trying to stop murdering Islamist fascist and other assorted dictators. Very few have risen to the challenge when called - and we have.

So say thank you and get out of the way.

You ignored the liberal dirt worshipers who throughout Clintonism made holy sites of land and water preventing US from producing our own energy.

We are going to go Kyoto treaty or not.

Pointing the finger at Saudi Arabia ignores the ones who have put US at the mercy of the global oil cartel.

Unfortunately too many elected supposed Republicans feared for job security jumped into bed with the dirt worshipers.

"But, the US does not help countries and/or groups when there is no benefit to the US."

BULL. Not only did we just bail out Indonesia from the tsunami catastrophe from our government to our people, we just signed a multi-billion dollar aid package to Africa. Tell me what strategic gain we have in helping Africa other then being benevolent?

Yes, the US has had policy highly influenced by oil, I will not argue that point. Your point about helping Bin Laden and Saddam, the Shah of Iran is also true. However, each of these individuals used our aid to then attack other countries and us when it suited their needs and very shortly afterwards.

So yes, we put Saddam in jail after we helped him and then he invaded Kuwait as his thank you and was continuing to threaten his enemies. Yes, we helped Bin Laden fight off the Soviets, but what was his thanks? Two WTC attacks killing 3,300 people not to mention the USS Cole, African Embassy bombings and God knows what else. The Shah of Iran? How about The Iranian Hostage crises buddy? Did we ask for that as well? Iran has cost us lives, money and time. We tried to engage North Korea and help them. What did they do? Use our resources to build more military competency, including nukes and threaten to use them on us.

Your references to the sword are biblical based. I am a Christian but the bible teaches me that their is a time for war and a time for peace. Is not one of God's names "I AM of Armies' in English? Christ said when he returns He will bring a sword and Revelations said that His followers here on earth would join Him in the final earthly battle before the 1,000 year reign. America is not perfect, yeah we got a little conceited but if God would save Soddom and Gomorrah because of only 10 righteous people (they didn't even have that) what do you think He will do about the 100 million God fearing people here in America?

Disengagement from the world, sealing our borders and pouring a trillion dollars into our own self-reliant energy sources might be temporary smart play, but we would then be re-deploying 10-15 years from now as the evil players gain ground.
