Farrakhan: Mexican President Was Right to Say Immigrants Take Jobs Blacks Don't Want The Associated Press
MILWAUKEE (AP) - Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan said Mexican President Vicente Fox was right to say that Mexican immigrants take jobs "that not even blacks want."
Although Fox was sharply criticized for his remarks by some black leaders, Farrakhan said Sunday that blacks do not want to go to farms and pick fruit because they already "picked enough cotton."
"Why are you so foolishly sensitive when somebody is telling you the truth?" he asked the crowd at Mercy Memorial Baptist Church. He said blacks and Latinos should form an alliance to correct differences and animosity between the two communities.
Civil rights leaders including Jesse Jackson and the Rev. Al Sharpton have called on Fox to apologize for the remark. Fox has said he was commenting on the contributions that Mexicans make to the United States, and did not mean any offense.

I don't think he denies the *diety* of Christ - I'm sure he respects Jesus' nutritional choices. Now, as to his deity...
He will probably sue aspirin manufacturers since you have to pick cotton to get to their product.
There is a reason I am an engineer and geologist; math has no spelling component.
I'm waiting for the day that a Baptist, a Catholic or even a Unitarian Universalist is invited to speak at a mosque.
And pullezzzz enlighten me, has Farrakhan ever done an "honest days work" in his life?
Or is he just another one of these race baiting clowns who calls himself a "minister" just so he doesn't have to pay income taxes!
Isn't the definition of a gaffe when a politician inadvertently tells the truth?
A number of years ago, when I was about 22 and had my first professional job, I was working at the lab bench next to a black guy. I didn't know him personally at all, but on a professional level we were friendly enough. One day he handed me an asprin bottle and asked me to open it up for him. I was a little surprised, as he was bigger than I am (and I'm 6' 2"). He said something along the lines of "We've picked enough cotton", so I opened it up and took the cotton out for him.
I don't think it was aimed at me - he never put me in any uncomfortable position otherwise.
Ah, since when don't ministers have to pay income tax? Now, if a church owns property it doesn't have to pay property tax, but I'm pretty sure a minister has to pay income tax on his or her income.
Favorite math eqn:
sinx/n = 6
(cancel the n's)
So how much cotton has Farrakhan, Jackson and Al Sharpton picked?
I don't blame blacks or anyone else for not wanting to pick fruit, or bale hay, I have done it. It is back breaking labor and you work for chump change. That was okay when I was a kid doing work for the summer.
The problem I see with this new immigration policy is that illegals won't be coming here soley to do farm work. They are working other jobs for contractors at minimum wage. Some of the contractors are doing government work. Also, under the new policy it says if the employer can not find an American to fill a job he can fill it with a foriegner.
Just how hard do you think these employers are going to look for an American when they know that can get and Indian, Pakistani or other immigrant to do it cheaper?
If they had to pay these immigrants the same wages and benefits as Americans would they be so hot to hire them. I doubt it.
I don't think sooo...
but I'm Catholic and I don't know the particulars, so I could be wrong. LOL
Just did a google, looks like you are correct,
they do pay income tax. I stand corrected! :-]
Obviously you completely missed the meaning of his remarks.
Hispanics don't want to be lumped in with this group of professional whiners, IMO. If he's advocating that they "join together," he must be thinking HE can get something out of it.
Why would any supposed Christian church give this hater of the brethren a pulpit?
If cotton price rises like oil, we'll all be wanting that job of picking cotton.>>>>>
I too have picked cotton. If a pound of cotton could be sold and the proceeds would buy as much of other things as was the case in the fifties then I could go into the field after the mechanical picker has left and gather a good living from the leftovers.
"interesting 1st result returned doing a "Louis Farrakhan" google search"
And from this day forward my real name is "Sheetswa"
No thanks ,Louie.
