Farrakhan: Mexican President Was Right to Say Immigrants Take Jobs Blacks Don't Want The Associated Press
MILWAUKEE (AP) - Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan said Mexican President Vicente Fox was right to say that Mexican immigrants take jobs "that not even blacks want."
Although Fox was sharply criticized for his remarks by some black leaders, Farrakhan said Sunday that blacks do not want to go to farms and pick fruit because they already "picked enough cotton."
"Why are you so foolishly sensitive when somebody is telling you the truth?" he asked the crowd at Mercy Memorial Baptist Church. He said blacks and Latinos should form an alliance to correct differences and animosity between the two communities.
Civil rights leaders including Jesse Jackson and the Rev. Al Sharpton have called on Fox to apologize for the remark. Fox has said he was commenting on the contributions that Mexicans make to the United States, and did not mean any offense.

"Calpyso Louie" strikes again!
I guess if someone doesn't want a job anyone can come along and take it. We are talking about people who don't want jobs, aren't we?
Well, as one white boy who has done his share of manual farm labor, I can say this is a steaming load of fecal matter. Picking fruit or harvesting cotton is honest work. Calypso Louie, if Americans are "above" honest work then don't ask me to pay for their food or clothes.
Just put this maggot in the pile with Jesse, Al, the NAACP, ACLU, CPUSA, CARE, and all the other fine organizations and people that REALLY REPRESENT AMERICA !!!!
(Barf bucket please!!)
I'm sure we'll start hearing about the evil Farrakkkhan.
That is such a fundamentally penetrating question that it deserves an honest answer.
I am just curious why a Baptist church would have a muslim --- who, by definition, denies the diety of Christ, denies He was crucified, and denies He rose from the dead --- speak at the church.
Nice to know that Farrakhan thinks Blacks are only capable of doing Fruit/Cotton picking. Guess this idiot never made the rounds at some construction sites, personally I don't know many people that would pass up $12.00 + an hour. Just like Bush, Farrakhan thinks illegals should be given any job they want, then classify that job as one "Americans don't want to do".
"The march is billed as a more inclusive successor to the Million Man March. This time, organizers have encouraged women and gays to attend."
I do not understand. Now the million Man March includes all races and genders except white males? I am sure I read that wrong.
OK. Anyone with pix of living blacks picking cotton, please post.
"I am just curious why a Baptist church would have a muslim --- who, by definition, denies the diety of Christ, denies He was crucified, and denies He rose from the dead --- speak at the church."
Very interesting point. Might it be that he needed a stage from which to promote and politicize his latest agenda? Then you might ask why he did not preach from a Mosque. The message then might not get to the right crowd. Or worse, it might bring attention to muslims when his agenda for the day is not about muslims.
Good post.
"He said blacks and Latinos should form an alliance to correct differences and animosity between the two communities."
Strange I've never heard him say that about blacks and whites.
Same question I have, why a Baptist Church would want a racist Muslim to come and speak! I'm white, and I've picked cotton. If cotton price rises like oil, we'll all be wanting that job of picking cotton.
The Mothership has spoken
No kidding.
I lease land to several cotton farmers right now (used to farm it myself; too much work!)
They've done so well, I keep threatening to up my percentage (in-laws, alas, so I can't really do it!).
Reperations....they are waiting for their reperations....hey..my check is in the mail
