Atta way to blow 9/11 panel's credibility

If you want to know everything wrong with the 9/11 Commission in a single sound bite, consider this from Al Felzenberg, its official spokesman, speaking Wednesday:

''There was no way that Atta could have been in the United States at that time, which is why the staff didn't give this tremendous weight when they were writing the report. This information was not meshing with the other information that we had.''

I don't get where the newsies get their conclusions... The 9/11 Commission is not proved not credible because they did not address this piece regarding Able Danger.

Much of what came out of the 9/11 Commission report was quite detailed, thorough, and accurate.

I'm sure a new investigative commission to investigate Able Danger would do the same, and an addendum can be added to the original report. The conclusions can be revised if necessary.

My suspicion is that this is a move to defend Hillary Clinton's bid in 2008, or any Democratic candidate for that matter. The report probably contains a lot of information of events and results that can be construed as having been responsible to mismanagement or bad policies within the Clinton administration. Discrediting the commission and therefore the report will allow the Democrats to blame the Bush Administration for failing to live up to its promise of a full and accurate accounting of 9/11, and to discredit the information within the report that might be used against the Democrats in the future.

Maybe we need a 9/11 Commission Commission to investigate the 9/11 Commission. A body intended to reassure Americans that the lessons of that terrible day had been learned instead engaged in what at best was transparent politicking and collusion in posterior-covering and at worst was something a whole lot darker and more disturbing.

Some or all of the families that lost members in the WTC and Pentagon need to bring a lawsuit forward to take this out of the political arena.

The oversight on this issue does bring their credibility into question. Just as the CIA was wrong in many ways on the WMD issue, it brought the whole of their credibility into question.

Which, begs the question, if the Commission was wrong or haphazard on this very important issue, where their others?

Hardly. The commission was, as I recall, bipartisan. And there is no way, given that Gorelick established the "Gorelick wall" as a means to insulate Clinton from charges resulting from illegal campaign contributions from the Chinese, that this will be pinned on Republicans.

Of course, given that the commission keeps changing its story regarding Able Danger and Atta, one gets the impression that they weren't interested in the truth, anyway. The great patriotic outflowing from the 9/11 Commission was, it turns out, another whitewash from the thoroughly corrupt on both sides of the isle.

The way I see it is Atta was the main terrorist here. Anything with Atta should have been investigated. Rumors about Atta should have been investigated.

This report should have details that F@cks life from hatching to death. It should have included investigating everythig about him, who he knew, when he knew them, Who they knew.

This whole thing pisses me off. I had forgotten about that B1tch nay, C@nt Whorelick was on the commission. That in itself was a travesty. Was a circus.

What a failure. I don't care who burns left, right or in the middle for this but someone needs to BURN! And I mean do hard time or swing from the gallows. Over 3000 people lost their lives and countless others' lives were destroyed.

I am a Republican and would have no problem watching republicans swing from the gallows over this. However, I am pretty sure the problem was in the Clinton years. I would actually take pleasure in watching some of his company swing from a nicely formed noose.

Either way this MUST be investigated. Americans must know who mistakes cost those lives.
