LIVE THREAD: H.O.T. CHAPTER'S CRAWFORD SUPPORT PRES. AND TROOPS RALLY (8/13/05)

Posted on 08/13/2005 6:55:59 AM PDT by kristinn

The Heart of Texas Chapter of FreeRepublic.com is holding a rally in Crawford, Texas today to show America's support for our troops, President Bush and the war on terrorists in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere around the world.

The rally will be held at noon at the Crawford Civic Center at 1000 4th Street.

Freepers are coming from near and far to join the H.O.T. Chapter in Crawford. If you live within four hours drive of Crawford, it's not too late to hit the road and get on down there.

Folks in attendance will be calling in to me, Brad's Gramma and Jeff Head with live updates from the scene. I am told that cellphone coverage in Crawford is spotty. However, it may have gotten better of late.

We'll see.

Hat's off to Basil, Doctor Raoul, The Sarce and 2ndAmendmentMama (and anyone else) who've been scrambling the past two days to make this happen. Good luck!

The majority of Americans agree with the moon bats!

LOL. Yes, so says Cindy, But happily not the ones who are packing...and who chose a line of work dedicated to protecting their fellow citizens.

The majority of america is not being told everything we know here on FR.

The MSM is sitting on the story.

CNN will not cover Sheehans anti-blue angel stance.

FNC might.

PMSNBC, are they still on the air?

from your link

Thomas Zapp, the father of another soldier killed in Iraq in November 2004, came to rally for Bush and "talk to Cindy."

Did she talk with him?

No sympathy for her or her "loss", she is pissing on her son's grave and telling us it is her tears.

Yeah. That's a good way to put it.

If I was 28, instead of 48, I'd go. I went (U.S. Navy) for six months in 79-80 to a a remote island in the Indian Ocean. If we didn't have such an idiot for a president (Carter) perhaps something may have happened. If something was done back then the right way, perhaps the republicans wouldn't be fixxing things now for a our country.

As for the little DU puker, he's clueless about what the war on terror, or taking the fight to the enemy, or freedom, is about. I hope he chokes on his own lies and poison he spouts.

Saw her crying ad the other day. I saw through the fake tears. Bad acting.

Didn't we try that "being nice" attitude for many long years? See where that got us. They are several bricks shy of a load.

I don't know, but I liked the way AFP started the article with "Hundreds of demonstrators against the war". I wasn't their, but it sounds like hundreds protesting AGAINST the war is quite a stretch.

Are they saying the usual thing that that is to take the attention away from Cindy?

My Niece is going to Duke and just got back from the Young Americans National Youth Conference in Washington D.C. She had a blast, met all kinds of like minded kids from all over the country and is well prepared for anything college can dish out. I highly recommend it to any teen in college. There is help from the NRC or she never would have been able to afford it. In other words the price is right. I even caught her on CSPAN asking a question:-) I'm right proud of her.
