The Heart of Texas Chapter of FreeRepublic.com is holding a rally in Crawford, Texas today to show America's support for our troops, President Bush and the war on terrorists in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere around the world.
The rally will be held at noon at the Crawford Civic Center at 1000 4th Street.
Freepers are coming from near and far to join the H.O.T. Chapter in Crawford. If you live within four hours drive of Crawford, it's not too late to hit the road and get on down there.
Folks in attendance will be calling in to me, Brad's Gramma and Jeff Head with live updates from the scene. I am told that cellphone coverage in Crawford is spotty. However, it may have gotten better of late.
We'll see.
Hat's off to Basil, Doctor Raoul, The Sarce and 2ndAmendmentMama (and anyone else) who've been scrambling the past two days to make this happen. Good luck!

That was awesome. My husband and I drove to W Va from Fla. It was such a wonderful feeling to be among so many patriotic people.
She was labeled as "anti-Semitic" because she made the statement that "her son died for the neo-cons, PNAC and Israel" (paraphrasing) thereby buying completely into the DUmmies fantasies of global boogie men and conspiracys.
"Neo-con" appears to be a code word for "Jew". Somebody tell me how the islamofascists differ from Hitler, please.

I had a nasty "road rage" incident in Fort Worth a couple of weeks ago...just because I entered the freeway!!! The guy objected and tried to run me off the road...
BUT, those guys in Crawford doing that to you, could have gotten really bad...I am really glad you made it back alright...did you go on I-35 to Waco? or go back roads.

This woman, (bless her heart, yes, she needs prayer), left The Church long ago, and only recently returned a few years ago. Previously, she attended many Baptist churches where she lived.
Assuming a) she had been around the bible in that regards, and b) she said that once weekly they get together and study scripture (yes, believe it or not...Catholics do do this!), she should be very familiar with scripture.
Don't get me wrong, this kind woman appeared to me very much a God loving woman...her priorities, however, need work...and as you said, prayer.
(Jay, I forgot to mention...she teaches 2nd grade! :)

Great job freepers. be very careful in the little town of Fairfield which is not far from Crawford. they like to soak out-of-towners for $80 parking tickets. i got one there last year for stopping next to the curb in front of a service station to take my daily meds. i never exited my vehicle and didn't even kill the engine.

The 1st Cav is raising money for a memorial at Fort Hood. He was with the Cav. I think they have raised $200,000 with a goal of $250,000. I'll try to find a link.
