Here are my thoughts on the subject.

Let me just say first off that I'm sorry for the death of Sheehan's son. This certainly is something nobody wants to go through.

However, to go and use his son's death for political and promotional gain as Cindy Sheehan is doing is stupid, idiotic and foolish. This act by Sheehan is the most disgaceful performance I've ever seen in my life.

And I can assure you she does not speak for the vast majority of Americans nad anybody that says she does is a bald faced pathlogical liar and Cindy Sheehan is a bald faced pathlogical liar.

Her son gave his life so that our nation can continue to be safe from terrorists. Apparently she would rather have bombs falling in our backyards. Maybe, she'd be happy if we had another attack similar to 9/11.

All I know is that the stupid, idiotic MSM presenting her as a spokeman for the majority of Americans and those terrorists watching overseas emboldened by here sheananigans. all this is doing is putting our troops in even more danger.

And to all those b!!ching and moaning about us here at FR questioning the actions of Cindy Sheehan and her kind. I would remind those dufuses that we do have freedom of speech in this country and whether anybody likes it or not that does include the right of those of us to criticize Cindy Sheehan and those of her kind and their tresonous actions.

Anybody who has a problem with it needs to go pack up their bags and move to another part of the world where they'd be much more happier. We don't need these kind of lunitics and goofballs like matthew Rothschild telling us what to say and what not to. As far as I'm concerned their kind aren't welcome here in this discussion of the issue.

Regards....

I liked this:

Rightwing talk show host Phil Hendrie goes even lower, writing an article amazingly entitled "Anti-War Mom: Another Ignorant Cow," Hendrie called Sheehan a "self-righteous ignoramus," and then went into full mockery mode: "A mother grieving her loss. The inhumanity of war. Oh, the wickedness of it all."

I've seen callousness before, but this piece may top them all. And catch Hendrie's defense of the Iraq War: "This war was unavoidable, brought on by an historic clash of culture and ideal, powered by the American people themselves, rising to meet the future, pissing off the rag heads." Rag heads?

Cindy Sheehan is a phony just like her leftist counterparts. I think the grieving process has ended for as her leftist agenda has gone forward.

I don't know of Phil Hendrie, never heard him and wouldn't know his voice.

But Rush had a guest host a week or two ago (I think it was Mark Belling but I'm not at all positive, I just caught a small part). He said something that I thought was profound about groups like ANSWER that say "war is never the answer." He said sometimes war is the answer. If war were never the answer, we'd still be British subjects. If war were never the answer, the United States of America would now be two separate countries, one based on slavery and one not. If war were never the answer, Hitler would have conquered much if not all of the world. If war were never the answer, Saddam would still be waging his murderous and bloody regime. Nobody likes war, but unfortunately sometimes war is the answer.

After being very young during Vietnam I used to think war was the worst thing in the world. But after 9/11 I now know there is something even worse-- a lot worse. And that is having nothing dear to you that you will protect and defend. Having nothing that stirs your soul with pride that will make you stand up and fight anyone who threatens it.

I'm glad to know in my heart that there's something I hold dear enough for that. And I thank God we have people who are more than willing to serve in our military to protect and defend the rest of us. Cindy Sheehan is not glad about that and does not hold either them or the ideals upon which this country was founded, anywhere near dearly enough. Between the lines --but just barely between-- she's saying we don't deserve to be protected and defended. So what she's saying and doing is about ME too. And I take her treason very personally.

I don't listen to comedian Phil Hindree or his phony radio guests but this thread tagged him as a (former?) liberal:

The Left vs. Facism (Liberal Radio Host Phil Hendrie Supports Bush, WoT)

Whatever he is, he's a braying loudmouth and doesn't bring much substance to the table of talk radio. And for those who hear "conservative views" coming from his mouth, he also is the voice of his guests (including irate women). Who is the real Phil Hendrie? Is it satire? Is it a meanspirited slur on conservatives? Who knows? I don't care to even listen.

I've held my peace on this subject thus far because I feel great sympathy for any mother who has lost a child.

I was in a large therapy program several years ago, and a woman came in whose daughter had been carjacked, assaulted, and murdered by four guys they later caught.

While I couldn't imagine what she must have been going through and felt terribly sorry for her, she went over the edge with her grief and became obsessed over it or whatever the diagnosis was to the point that it was destroying what was left of her family. In short, she was stuck in her grief and could not move on with her life after a normal grieving period. To this day, I do not criticize her for it; it's just the way it was for her. I hope she is doing better now.

I know most parents never really get over losing a child, especially by war, accident, or violence. Death by incurable illness may be a little easier to reconcile, but I don't really know for sure. I don't like to make judgement calls on things like this, would likely feel the same resentment toward a president who had ordered my son into battle, even if he went voluntarily and re-enlisted for another tour, but I can't imagine myself publicly acting out in such a manner.

Mothers who lost children in wars didn't used to behave that way, and some of those lost fought under a draft, not under a voluntary enlistment program.

I don't think Cindy is the only grief-striken mother who is using her child's death as a political weapon. I'll just be glad if she can resolve her grief in a more healthy manner and find renewed purpose in her life out of the public spotlight and not destroy what is left of her family life.

Like my Ex--a NUTJOB!
"Sent to a San Francisco radio station Thursday, the first public acknowledgment of a family rift came from Cherie Quartarolo, sister-in-law to Cindy Sheehan and godmother to her son, Casey.

Reached by phone Thursday, Quartarolo said she consulted with other family members before releasing the brief statement, but she declined to elaborate. She signed the memo on behalf of Casey's paternal grandparents, as well as "aunts, uncles and numerous cousins."

Noting that her family is still grieving the loss of Casey, Quartarolo wrote: "We do not agree with the political motivations and publicity tactics of Cindy Sheehan. She now appears to be promoting her own personal agenda and notoriety at the expense of her son's good name and reputation."

Casey's father, Patrick, of Vacaville, was not mentioned. He has acknowledged that he and his wife are separated, but he has avoided the spotlight that surrounds his wife's high-profile protest.

The family's e-mail, however, said "The Sheehan family lost our beloved Casey in the Iraq War and we have been silently, respectfully grieving. The rest of the Sheehan family supports the troops, our country and our president, silently, with prayer and respect."

Speaking of the Sheehans' disagreement, Kneisler said "A good leader would not let this happen here." The family's political divide is a sign of how serious things have gotten in the country, she said.

- The Reporter, Vacaville and Associated Press contributed to this report.

"In short, she was stuck in her grief and could not move on with her life after a normal grieving period. To this day, I do not criticize her for it; it's just the way it was for her."

In short, SINdy did not celebrate Casey during his "LIFE" time and now suspiciously and conveniently (timing is everything) uses him in death. Facts are short and simple. In short, Casey's own letter stated how he doubted SINdy would remember his phone call to her from his over seas military location.

Good afternoon.

When your critic has credibility,..

What makes Matthew Rothschild think that Ms. Sheehan has any credibility? Because her son died in the service of his country? That's like saying a survivor of Hiroshima is credible speaking on nuclear physics.

Rightwing talk show host Phil Hendrie goes even lower, writing an article amazingly entitled "Anti-War Mom: Another Ignorant Cow..."
That would be THIS thread:

Anti-War Mom: Another Ignorant Cow
Phil Hendrie ^ | August 10, 2005 | Phil Hendrie
Posted on 08/11/2005 6:55:57 AM PDT by WackySam

Casey Sheehan was a re-enlistee with the Army's 1st Cavalry. He knew he was going to fight. He understood that. He embraced it. He fought like a soldier. And like a soldier he died, killed in April of 2004, in Sadr City, Iraq.

Casey's mom, Cindy, doesn't quite get it. She is a mother who has lost her son to a war. Convinced she knows more about the costs of war than other parents who've suffered similar loss, she has parked herself outside President Bush's ranch in Crawford, Texas. Full of judgment and hate, calling him "selected," not elected, blaming him personally for the death of her son, this clueless woman is going to sit there until the President comes out. She's going to set him straight.

Cindy Sheehan is another bereaved parent that the anti-Iraq War movement has run its game on. Manipulating her in her sadness and anger, they've created a self-righteous ignoramus. Casey Sheehan was cut down by foreign insurgents, the same Saudi-Iranian-Syrian animals that carved up Nick Berg. But to Cindy, the man who killed her son is George Bush. Cindy believes Bush lied about our reasons for going to war and thus led her son to his death through outright deceit.

The "Bush Lied" theory has been debated and discredited but Anti-War Mom hasn't noticed. Cindy Sheehan isn't outside the Bush ranch as a truth-seeker. She's there for her public-relations potency. "I want people to know the real costs of war," she says. A mother grieving her loss. The inhumanity of war. Oh, the wickedness of it all. It's the anti-Iraq War Propaganda Machine working the sewer again...

As I've said on other threads, we have have observed Democrats who refuse to accept the reality that President Bush won 2 presidential elections.

Unable to deal with such reality, you can only imagine the denial she has in accepting her son's death.

She needs to seek counseling and support whether it is from family, friends, religious figures, or psychiatric/psychological counselors. The people in the anti-American war movement (they are pro-Palestinian war) are not her "friends". They do not have her best interests at stake.

Michael Moore has come out FOR the terrorists in Iraq, denying they are terrorists and calling them Freedom Fighters, what's more he has said that America WILL fail and that he doesn't want to see any nation aiding to prevent that failure.

She is being exploited for political purposes and has changed her own story to suit their agenda.

She is fair game because she is the terrorists' stooge. A grieving mother who spits venom at the wrong target.

"I'm sorry, I don't want to bash her,"

That's your perogative. Yet you have no problem taking the time to type out your opinion just as others should be allowed to. And please, stop using typical liberal exaggerated sound bite words to make your point. People aren't "bashing" SINdy, in short they're calling her on her anti-American B.S.-fest.
