Or adopted after his term maybe?
I would be willing to give Jimmuh the benefit of the doubt on this case. However, knowing what a hypocrite he is, and seeing how the story mentions that Jeff Carter is "Jimmy Carter's youngest son" (no mention of Ms Rosalyn...), I wouldn't put it past him.

Nah, Jimmuh was a boob as president alright, but he was squeaky clean. No midnight calls from the Oval Office to Ralph's Carpet Cleaners for him.

Well, inquiring minds want to know...Who the H is Jeff Carter?
He must have been a really bad dude for the press to bury him in 76.

".....more to the point, I do not know who thought having it would be helpful. Frankly, you deserved better. My cursory glance at it convinced me that it was a crashing bore and next to useless for you, or for anyone else." George Will tells Carter his "top secret" briefing book wasn't worth stealing.
This is the greatest news I've heard all week. Carter the Pure finally gives Will the opportunity and the game is over with the artful brevity of Sir George. I'll be chortling for days.

Laugh! I was just coming back to post that info.
Jeff was 26 when Carter was elected. I guess it's just the young children that stick in our minds.

What, Jimmuh waited for son #2 before passing on the "James Earl"?

Jimma Goober should have briefed Jeremy on what happens to thieves.
I guess he was to busy building houses for deadbeats.

I was a stupid kid who voted for him in my middle school did not count election. I liked him because he has the same birthday as me. That's how I made my pick and why 13 year olds should never vote. At least mine did not count. The fact that you voted for him a second time and actually admit it takes some guts.
Proud to say by the time it mattered I cast my 1st Presidential vote in '84 for Ronald Reagan. Hope you wised up by then!

If it were a Bush relative, it would require a cover story in People Magazine & other publications and 24-7 mention on all the news shows, including of course O'Reilly.

Glad you finally wised up. Never turn back! I do have to admit my own voting mistake, Perot in '92. Yes, I'm one of those that can be blamed for 8 years of Clinton. It's highly unlikely I'll ever vote third party again. What a waste. Heck, if you can admit voting for Carter
twice I can fess up to my error.
Like your pictures of Ginger and Gilligan. I have cats and love them but also have a huge soft spot for dogs. Maybe one day . . .

Glad you finally wised up I use it to illustrate that people can and do change.
My parents were pretty much apolitical and I learned my politics at a very liberal high school. Then I worked for a small business owner in the early 80's and he taught me a lot.

Lucky for you that you had that smart small business owner.
Funny how our political views develop. I cannot remember ever discussing politics with my parents growing up. When I was in college two hours away from home in '84 I drove back just to vote for Ronald Reagan. While standing in line with my parents I found out that they too were voting for Reagan and had been voting Republican since Goldwater. Guess I absorbed it non verbally. We agree politically to this day.

Wow, I had no idea he had 4 children. I had only heard of Amy. Quite a huge age difference between #3 and #4. Just how old was he when Amy was born I wonder. It just never registered with me at the time that he was a particularly "old parent" at the time.
