If Janine Pirro Is In Bed With Mobsters, So Is Joe Lieberman (MSM Nailed)
ABP ^ | 8/12/05 | ABP

Posted on 08/12/2005 2:53:04 PM PDT by crushkerry

The New York Daily News throws garbage on Jeanine Pirro today by saying in their headline that she took "Mob Cash". Gee, I wonder who passed this information along (cough)Hillarysupporters(cough)I'd be willing to bet this came to them from someone in the Clinton camp.

But those in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Because it turns out some of Pirro's "mob contributors" also gave money to .... Democrats.

The article states that:

Worth Construction of Connecticut gave $1,000 to Pirro's campaign in the past year.

In 2003, an FBI agent testified that Worth Construction owner Joseph Pontoriero is an associate of the Genovese crime family and that Worth had tried to bribe a local official.

Interesting, because it seems a guy named Joseph Pontoriero from Connecticut, who's listed as a "self employed/builder" gave Joe Lieberman $2,000 in November 2003. Also, it appears the same guy gave $5,000 to the Democrat Senatorial Campaign Committee. He's also given to Al D'Amato and Bob Dole.

The article also says that:

Yonkers Contracting wrote Pirro a $500 check in July 2004. Prosecutors say Yonkers paid $50,000 a year to a corrupt union official of Operating Engineers Local 15, a union allegedly infiltrated by Colombo mobsters. Yonkers has not been charged with a crime. Owner Carl Petrillo did not return calls seeking comment.
Gee, it seems Mr. Petrillo also gave lots of money to sainted RINO Christie Todd Whitman in the 1990's. Why never a mention of her "mob money"? It also appears Mr. Petrillo gave money to Democrat Nita Lowey in 1989.

Further, the Daily News mentioned:

Bergassi Group LLC, an upstate bond firm, gave Pirro $500 in June. In 1996, a mob associate was recorded asking Edmond Bergassi to use his political connections to quash a pending investigation. Bergassi denied any mob ties and said he donated to Pirro at the request of a colleague who was raising money for her.
Ok, fine. But why no mention that it appears Mr. Bergassi has given quite a bit of contributions to many politicians of both parties including Democrats Patrick Kennedy, Chuck Schumer, Gary Ackerman, Carloyn Maloney and Adolphus Towns?

The Daily News went on:

Richard Nasti and his wife gave Pirro $5,000 in October 2003. Bonanno crime family gangsters were recorded discussing the involvement of Nasti, a former New York Post executive, in a scheme to place gangsters in no-show jobs at the Post. Nasti pleaded guilty to misdemeanor violations of the state labor law in 1992. He did not return calls seeking comment.
Could this be the same Richard Nasti who has donated to Republicans, but also gave $2,000 to Democrat Patty "Osama Mama" Murray?

So perhaps the next time some lefty shills pitch them a story about someone taking "mob money" (and some of these people and companies mentioned have never been convicted of any wrongdoing at all), perhaps they ought to do just a little research. This took me all of about 1/2 hour.

When will the MSM realize there's a blogosphere out here watching them and calling them on this kind of crap?

I hereby nominate a certain ex-cop from Great Neck to run for the Senate.

--------------------------------------

And lose my anonymity?

btw...can you catch Levin where you are? He's choking with emotion trying to get through a monologue about a recently KIA Marine.

btw 2...former cop - "ex" means they asked you to leave.

so true. And ya know what they say, how God works in mysterious ways. Rudy almost ran and then got cancer, backed out and then 9/11 happened and thank God he was Mayor and there for everyone. I think of that every time I get bad news - how he must have felt but it was meant to be. Now he's ready and needed.

Unfortunatly, Levin runs at 3 here on the west coast (I can get him via WABC's website), and I can't listen to the radio here at the office. I would love too, as it has been a SLOW day.

Too bad - Levin is really starting to come into his own. There's more logic, passion and scholarship in the first twenty minutes of his show than in a week of hannity.

Well, most of those on the fundamentalist left hate Lieberman anyway. This is good news to them.

If the media spent 1/10th of the time investigating Hillary, ... she'd be a prisoner, not a Senator.

I've been a major F. Lee Levin fan for years. Hannity (aka the Sage of Franklin Square) always struck me as a lightweight with a heavily female audience.

Out here, the closest thing we have to Levin is Mark Segal in the morning, and he's more of a populist than a conservative. Don't get me started on the snoozefest that is Lars Larsen or John Carlson.

It should be noted that some of those people sound as if they are paying protection money to the mob. Hardly a
"link".

AC/DC did a live version of "She's Got The Jack", and changed the lyrics to "She's got the clap". The audience clapped at the word 'clap'. Very funny!

In New York it would be hard to know who among your contributors did or did not mob connections of some kind. The question is what if any favors were given in exchange for the donation. In the case of the Clintons it almost certainly were pardons (Marc Rich), access to restricted high tech (Chinese military)and favorable treatment in federal investigations (the Jewish group in NY under federal investigation for fraud that delivered a landslide of votes in a key district for Hillary).

It's kind of amusing to see (R)'s endorsing this person. Rush did the other day. He's always been more for the party than for conservatism.

bump! excellent point.

In New Yawk, whispers of Mob money, (whether true or not), can only add to Jeanine's cach-et. ) ;)

In any case, it 's probably safe to assume it was DOMESTIC Mob money, not that nasty foreign stuff missus clinton is so addicted to....

The clinton machine's early start with the garbage is a sure sign of extreme PANIC...
which is entirely understandable.

The post-Jeanine precipitous drop in clinton's poll numbers only confirms what the Democrat smart money already knows: hillary clinton is a DUD.

Another theory of the early garbage: to take the focus off the nascent clinton-gorelick-berger TREASON scandal.

Or it could be a combination of the two....

New York, New York -- if hillary can't make it there, she can't make it anywhere

HILLARY DUD -- NOT DUFF -- PORTENDS JEANINE WIN

"Married to the Mob" and other stop-Jeanine sillygisms

I worked with a couple of WW2 guys @ 1972 - both combat vet Marines (they would have been younger then than I am now - that sucks). They had dirty lyrics for darn near every popular song of the forties (wish I could remember them all). They also introduced me to the highly effective if somewhat less than sophisticated linguistic habit of inserting 'f******' into the middle of any multi-syllabic word (eg - unF******believable.

I loved these guys who knew my uncle (one had served with him in the Pacific) and who out of respect for him took me under their wings when I first started the job. They were, in a word, fan-f******-tastic.

Dud is right! Did you hear Hannity the other afternoon when some Hillary-licker got on and was pounding on Pirro?

Sean asked one question: what had Mrs. Clinton done in the past five years that would make you vote for her?

The silence was DEAFENING! Sean even did the "Final Jeopardy" theme music! The shmuck couldn't come up with a thing!! I was laughing my ass off!!

It was simply classic, and that is what the Hildabeast is going to have to contend with.

She might even have to have a real press conference, where people get to ask her unfiltered questions!!
