CRAWFORD, Texas - President Bush and his motorcade passed the growing camp of war protesters outside his ranch Friday without incident.
As Bush passed on his way to and from a political fundraiser, law enforcement blocked two intersecting roads where the demonstrators have camped out all week. Officers required the group to stand behind yellow tape, but no one was asked to leave.
The motorcade didn't stop.
Cindy Sheehan, the California mother who started the vigil along the road leading to Bush's ranch, held a sign that read: "Why do you make time for donors and not for me?"
It was unclear whether Bush, riding in a black Suburban with tinted windows, saw the demonstrators.
He had said Thursday that he sympathized with Sheehan but believed it would be a mistake to pull U.S. troops out of Iraq.
Sheehan, whose son died in Iraq last year, says she wants to meet with him again they spoke in June 2004 in light of information since then discrediting the war rationale that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction.
On Friday, Bush arrived before noon at a neighbor's ranch for a barbecue that was expected to raise at least $2 million for the Republican National Committee.
About 230 people were attending the fundraiser at Stan and Kathy Hickey's Broken Spoke Ranch, a 478-acre spread next to Bush's ranch. All have contributed at least $25,000 to the RNC, and many are "rangers," an honorary campaign title bestowed on those who raised $200,000 or more for Bush, or "pioneers," those who have raised $100,000 or more.
Sheehan, 48, of Vacaville, Calif., set up camp last weekend a few miles from Bush's ranch, and the group with her has now grown to more than 100.
What in the world is Ms. Sheehan going to say to the President that is going to change his mind? I'd like to know.
This is nothing but another attempt by the left to undermine the mission of those soldiers they purport to care so much about- and will only serve to lengthen the war that they want to see brought to an end. It's called, "aid and comfort".
I have had the honor of meeting the mother of a soldier who was my friend in Vietnam who was KIA in the spring of 1970. I have also met the daughter of another soldier I served with who did not make it home to see her sweet 2 1/2 year old face.
War is hell and there are thousands of individual tragedies.
The worst tragedy of all would be to leave Iraq or Adfghanistan and abandon our allies in the war on terror.
Please pray for our President. He and our leaders need prayers on a continual basis.
First and foremost, prayers for our soldiers whose attention to mission and unit is being unfairly compromised by those who have no idea whatsoever of what is at stake.
I really really despise this women...Vacaville is the new armpit of California.
I'll sum it up- Liberals want a return to the 1960s.
Cindy is simply mad at Casey for defying her and joining the military, then re-enlisting, and then, finally, dying honorably for our nation. It is must drive Cindy nuts!
Now Cindy is striking back at Casey the only way she can.

!
Some of them never left it. Not just the same type of people, the very exact SAME people who cost untold lives and and the Vietnam war effort, are trying to do the same 35 years later!!!
Makes me want to ....SCREAM!!!!
"I'll sum it up- Liberals want a return to the 1960s."
If that is all we had to fear!
These useful idiots have no idea what would happen if we gave one inch to these terrorist bastards.
If we do not continue to bring the fight to them, we are doomed. And, if we lose, the libertine left will be the first to be thrown into the glue pot.

I think it would serve President Bush well if he were to say "OK Cindy, we will talk one on one. No press. Just a private conversation between the two of us". The liberal jerks and the press would be shot right in the ass.
Go to DU if you must...they are giving updates on Cindy often. Last I read, they delivered a port a potty to the site yesterday. Will "Urban Cowboy" Pitt, a DUmmy, has been blogging from the camp. Also, the DUmmies are starting to boycott Coca Cola products becuz the distributor in that area didn't want to deliver cold drinks to Cindy and company. Lots of haha fodder.
That's a mighty long trip, though....
Last line: there are about 100 folks there. Not all that many, when you consider that there are legions of whackjobs in Austin who could drive down there for the weekend.
Perhaps, Ms. Sheehan, because you're actively dishonoring the memory of your son with your moonbat ranting and ongoing disgraceful association in that "cause" with some of the scummiest elements of American society--the hardcore left.
If you had an ounce of integrity, Ms. Sheehan, you would slink back home in embarrassment, but you have none. For shame.
I'm glad he's very publicly ignoring them. I was afraid he'd use Marine I so he could just fly over them. Going about his business and ignoring them says so much more.
