An Open letter to Cindy Sheehan

Regarding your protest outside of Crawford, Texas, and your many statements regarding the death of your son, Casey, and against the war in Iraq, where your son was fighting for his country and died in that war, I have this to say to you.

Yours is the most despicable, shameless, disgusting spectacle I have ever seen from any mother. Do you not care that you are shaming and sullying the memory of your brave, patriotic son? After reading about your "protest" and your long history against the war in Iraq and this President, it is clear to me, and, I believe, to any other objective, reasoned individual, that you are clearly doing this to your son's memory for you own purely anti-American political purposes and for your own stage.

Casey volunteered, Ms. Sheehan, and according to other members of the family, knew exactly what he was about in his service to his nation. My guess is that, because of your activities, there must have been some fairly significant disagreement between the two of you regarding the same.

Now you are using his loyal service and HIS DEATH...to promote causes which he showed by his own service and sacrifice that he stood four square against, and was willing to die fighting against.

How utterly disgusting, and how disrespectful to Casey's memory and all he stood for, how terribly selfish of you.

It is really Casey whom you are fighting Ms Sheenan, isn't it? It is the statement he made with his service and with his life, and his willingness, all of your protests and carryings on notwithstanding, to fight for his nation against enemies he clearly saw, that you are really railing against.

How pathetic of you. Shame on you...how could you?

You are apparently so self-indulgent that you do not care the spectacle you are making of your own son's death, or the disservice or disrespect you do to his memory, to his wishes and goals and to his service to all of us...including yourself.

Please, for Casey's sake, and his memory...for all he believed in...ask his forgiveness and step back from this sorry, awful spectacle you are making.

I pray, and am absolutely sure that God will rest his soul...and I pray that He will have mercy on yours.

Cordially,

Jeff Head

I think she was suffering before the loss of her son, now she is just flaying.

It's a great letter and I wish that you would send it to her. But, I suppose, even if she read it, it wouldn't mean anything to her at all; sadly.

I will not ask God to damn her, rather to show mercy on her. I know her son would not want or ask for that. Out of respect for him and a recognition that in the end, we are all sinners, I cannot ask for that. But, at the same time, I believe when one studies and researches her activities that is is clear that she is using her son's death to promote anti-American activities and agendas that he stood four square against.

That is despicable and needs to be called. I believe if the American people are educated as to her activites with the likes of Michael Moore, her association with far left anti-war and anti-American groups, and her quotes that the United States is not worth dieing for, that the public will not countenance her.

She talks grandly about her desire to shorten the war and save others without having the wisdom or good sense to understand that her antics are actually prolonging it and giving aid and comfort to the very enemies who killed her son.

It is pathetic and because I sympathize with her loss, I pray for God's mercy on her. How great it would be for her to be pierced to the heart by the truth and turn on those people who are so shamefully using her...whom she so shamefully and willingly allows to use her.

Freeper Gracey has printed up copies that she is taking to the Freeper rally in Crawford, TX tomorrow. She plans to hand one to her personally.

I just wish I could be there from Idaho with them.

She has willfully turned her grief over to the people who hate her son's service and everything it stood for...who hate the very ideals that make the liberty we have in this nation possible. In so doing, she herself has become the enemy of all her son fought for. It is shameful and disgusting, and I pray she turns from this path.

I just got upset enough to write a letter. Basil and Gracey and that great group in central and south Texas are going to go and do the yoman's work...and I wish I were there standing shoulder to shoulder with them.

And don't we all, wish that we could be there in person. :-)

I hope that those who are going, are ready for the nastiness that sadly will meet them.

They will do fine I know. I was on a consuting assignment down in Austin after the 2000 election and was priveleged to spend some time with some of them marching around the State House there for several hours. It was a great, spontaneous rally.

Also visited one of their FR meetings there on another occassion. Great group of people and wholly dedicated to our Republic and its underlying foundational values and principles.

Great writing, Jeff.

Do you not care that you are shaming and sullying the memory of your brave, patriotic son?

Not really, she wants to avoid paying taxes in lieu of her son's death. There's no difference between the “war for oil” that she spouts, and Cindy making money from her son's death.

Many times I have noticed a distinct tendancy for the liberal/left, anti-American crowd to project their own characteristics on those that they oppose. If you listen close to what they rave on and on about...99% of it untrue...you will get a solid picture of how they will act if ever in power.

Exactly...her own words belie her. The father and kids may have the same political persuasions....I do not know...but I do know they are not out making a spectacle of it and sullying the memory and service of Casey like this woman is.

No thanks to me necesssary. Thanks to everyone doing whatever they can in their own sphere of influence to stand up for what is truly right. Collectively it is making a huge difference.

I don't expect she will read my blog. It is more likely that she will see it through FR, hence its post here.

But actually, it is quite likely that she will get a copy handed to her tomorrow personally in Crawford, Texas when a Freeper friend of mine hands it to her during their rally. At least Gracey indicated she would print several copies off and hand one to her...and knowing Gracey, I believe she will.

Those Freepers...got a long reach you know?
