a) Mick Jagger is not man enough to own up to target of the song.

b) The Stones are supposed to open up for Monday Night Football.

Guess who I am calling to complain to?

If everyone on here would email ABC, they just might pull the contract...

They did mean Bush in that song, and if the heat is to much for them, then maybe they should get out of the kitchen....

Maybe Mick realized that he had shot himself in the foot, and the Stones would be playing to a lot of empty seats on their next tour.

My Stones music went in the landfill some time back.

He didn't have the Stones to stick by his lyrics.

I agree. I've never been a big Stones' fan. If I were a fan, I wouldn't be pleased by this.

Yahtzee !!!!!!!!! Libs are cowards face to face, I haven't met one yet that could gurgle anything other than "Bush lied" , "No blood for oil" and other assorted crap. However I am a PM for a general contractor here in NM, and thankfully don't work with many Libs. Albuquerque is pretty Liberal, but generally there are a BUNCH of republicans.

PS= Still like the old stones, but seriously, does anybody really give a rats ass what Jagger's political views are?

Yes, I posted this on the Schwarzanegger thread (he's got some Rolling Stones $100K party going on... ), but it is thread relevant, not spam.

Remember this?

Jagger, who lived on the upper West Side for many years, said: "I feel very much at home in America. I've spent half my adult life here. I have many personal feelings. But I'm from the school that considers it impolite to comment on other people's elections."

True Brit Jagger won't rock the vote (Mick content to shut up and sing)

I guess he forgot what they taught him in that school:

Jagger on the Cannes carpet for Fahrenheit:

Then it was Moore climbing the entry steps to the Cannes Festival accompanied by Mick Jagger.

All sensational events at the 57th Cannes Film Festival were connected with the documentary film director Michael Moore and his film Fahrenheit 9/11...Mick Jagger applauded so hard that he became hot and took off his sweater..

But no one generated more excitement than Moore, who premiered his film to a thunderous response - with Jagger jumping up two rows behind him to join a standing ovation that lasted some 20 minutes.

JAGGER ROCKS BUSH: 'HOW COME YOU'RE SO WRONG, MY SWEET NEO-CON'

JAGGER ROCKS BUSH, RICE: 'HOW COME YOU'RE SO WRONG

Jagger Says Song Not an Anti-Bush Tirade (MICK STARTS DANCIN' BACKWARDS)

If Mick would stop flip-flopping, I'd have less info to gather on him. :)

Sure, maybe they're leftys, but one Stones song that I always found interesting (to have come from hippies I mean), is Sympathy for the Devil. Basically the lyrics mention the crucifixion of Christ, the Bolshevik Revolution, and the assasination of JFK, and attribute them all to the devil, i.e. bad. Just a thought.

Didn't Mick Jagger and David Bowie exchange bodily fluids with each other?
C'mon, who really cares what these shemales think.

Typical stones ambiguity==street fighting man--but what can a poor boy do but to sing in rocknroll band cause in sleepy london town aint no place for streefightingman--Sympathy for the Devil--Satan= Nazis,Communists, killed the tsar, ananstasia screamed in vain, Cops are criminals, sinners saints.. All is radical chic. Aren't any kids being influenced by the stones--no votes lost

I could have gone all thread without reading that. While we're at it, I've heard that Clapton was "with" one of the two, but I don't remember which right now.

The guy who wrote the song and read the words to him probably told him it about a new sports car from Japam called the Neocon involved in a trade war with Korea's new Ichipoosi.

In response to Mick's lyrics, beckon the words of Jack Nicholson as the Joker when he refers to Boss Grissom.......i.e. Jagger...."he's a tired old man."

Sounds right, I guess he drifted to the left over the years.

If you remember him in the 80's, he was a proud Thatcherite.
