WASHINGTON — The federal commission that probed the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks was told twice about "Able Danger," a military intelligence unit that had identified Mohamed Atta and other hijackers a year before the attacks, a congressman close to the investigation said Wednesday.

"What else didn't make it into the 9/11 report?"

LOTS AND LOTS.... check out this thread on the soon-to-be-infamous Dietrich Snell:

I thought I had become cynical before, but I REALLY am incredulous at this stuff... not that people like Gorelick and Snell would try to cover up the past, but that other people with plenty of knowledge have (so far) allowed and enabled them to do so....

Between Jamie Gorlick and Dietrich Snell this 911 commission was all wrapped up in a nice little package, complete with this Administration's blessing?

Salmon Pak didn't make it into the final report, although it was in a staff report in December 2003.

I don't think there was mention of Gore's Commission that declared cockpit doors should be secured to prevent hijacking and taking over the plane, but then the Clinton administration backed down when the airlines balked and Tom Daschle's wife (lobbyist) worked on him.

I don't believe there was any mention of this:

Less than two months before 9/11/01, the state-controlled Iraqi newspaper “Al-Nasiriya” carried a column headlined, “American, an Obsession called Osama Bin Ladin.” (July 21, 2001)

In the piece, Baath Party writer Naeem Abd Muhalhal predicted that bin Laden would attack the US “with the seriousness of the Bedouin of the desert about the way he will try to bomb the Pentagon after he destroys the White House.”

The same state-approved column also insisted that bin Laden “will strike America on the arm that is already hurting,” and that the US “will curse the memory of Frank Sinatra every time he hears his songs” – an apparent reference to the Sinatra classic, “New York, New York”.

There are hundreds more of these that were not in the 9/11 Commission Report.

Among the most critical facts to be determined, if the information about Atta did exist in 2000, would be who then blocked the intelligence from going to the FBI, which could have tracked down the terror cell.

I will wait for the facts to come it. But it appears right now that the 911 commission engaged in deliberate whitewashing of the Gorelick/Clinton Wall.

This could be a blockbuster story if the blogs keep on it until the Old Media has to notice. Especially with the spin that covering up the Clinton/China connection was the impetus for the Wall in the first place.

Hillary might not come out of this one unscathed.

"What else didn't make it into the 911 report?"

What kind of attacks the "Second wave" attacks were to be. IN the report it said KSM said he was too busy to pursue those, but omitted what they were to be.

I heard a caller to WABC radio this morning. The John Gambling Show.

She was from a family group and sounded as tho she was quite familiar with the Commission and the process.

She stated that the information came into the committee thru Gorelick and one other and it was they who decided what information was forwarded to other members.

This, for one thing:

Iraq Pre-War Intelligence Report: Additional Views of Chairman Pat Roberts joined by Senator Christopher S. Bond, Senator Orrin G. Hatch

The Democrats wouldn't agree to include it.

Gorelick was in charge of disseminating information to the full committee and made sure, naturally, that Able Danger never saw the light of day.

BTW, did you see the FrontPage article from a year or so ago about why the Wall was created? To protect Clinton from investigations between different agencies regarding his fund raising from the Chinese and selling them technology.

It didn't hurt that agencies couldn't talk together either about TWA 800, OKC, the first WTC bombing, etc.

We all condemn our intelligence agencies, but the FBI was onto Atta. Able Danger was onto Atta.

They just couldn't DO anything. Because of Clinton.
