WASHINGTON The federal commission that probed the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks was told twice about "Able Danger," a military intelligence unit that had identified Mohamed Atta and other hijackers a year before the attacks, a congressman close to the investigation said Wednesday.

"I just don't get it at all, how can these people get away with it all? WTF is going on anyway."
One has to wonder why these Republicans continually roll over and over and over. Everytime there's something they can run with, they fumble the ball. I'm starting to wonder if it's purposeful, as I cannot see how these politicians can be that inept.
Look at this situation, if the roles were reversed completely, the Democrats would be going full force with this.
"If the roles were reversed the democrats..."
the rats re on our case all the time. And when they can't get anything on us, like in Judge Roberts, they make stuff up! We need to do something different. This isn't working.
That article you linked to about Chinagate is beyond maddening. Beyond causing my head to explode.
That one went out to email list. grrrrrrrr!
Jamie Gorelick was the gatekeeper, if that's what you're asking.
Something big. Why else would they be raising so much hell.
Makes me reconsider my opinion of "Deep Throat." This stuff has been going on for a long time.
And Sandy Bergler was her accomplice. Wanna bet Bergler's sentencing delay is related to his destroying Able Danger documents and other references to Atta?
Jim, that was my very first thought! It would have been in the 2000 "Millenium" report which is the one he was stealing as fast as he could.
I am convinced that whatever he took had something incriminating about the Clintons on it, so this could be true.
If that happened, I would drive to where you are and we could dance in the streets.
Imagine, if after all these years and all those crimes, they finally got exposed for the criminals they are.
Hey Southack, I've scanned your posts. It's big stuff.
You've mentioned several times that the pilot who crashed the plane on 9-11-2000 was Atta's roomate.
Where did you find that piece of info?
9/11/2001 Evidence found in a rental car left in Portland, Maine, led investigators to two houses in Vero Beach, Florida. One had been rented by two brothers from Saudi Arabia.
In Vero Beach, FBI agents searched four homes in three neighborhoods, according to witnesses.
A tenant in one of those houses, Adnan Bukhari, was cooperating with the federal agents, sources said.
Bukhari's brother, Ameer Bukhari, died in a small plane crash in Florida last year, according to a lawyer for the family.
Federal sources had initially identified the brothers as possible hijackers who had boarded one of the planes that originated in Boston.
Their names had been tied to a car founded at an airport in Portland, Maine.
But Bukhari's attorney said it appeared their identifications were stolen and said Bukhari had no role in the hijackings.
Information found in another rental car left in Boston's Logan Airport -- where two of the hijacked flights
originated -- led investigators to two more men who were pilots: Mohammed Atta and Marwan Yousef Alshehhii.

The true Clinton-Gore legacy is starting to emerge, my friends, and it ain't pretty. It's a legacy that includes gutting intelligence budgets and letting the airlines off the hook in exchange for political contributions. Would 6,700 people be alive today if the CIA had the necessary resources and the airlines weren't so damned lax on security? We'll never know.
The information that he provided us did not mesh with other conclusions that we were drawing."
Thanks.
Thanks for an important ping.
More accurate question would be: What Clark didn't know and why didn't he know it? How that pompous ass can be taken seriously in light of blood on his hands is beyond me.
One Plane, One Terrorist.
Slams into tower-1, ricochets to tower-2, clipping the Pentagon before crashing into an open field.
Why in the world would the Bush Administration allow Gorlick to sit on the Commission and basically allow the cover-up of the national security failures while Slick was chasing skirts for 8 years.
I'll never understand why the Bush Family is so eager to give Slick a pass when he, personally, has done more harm to our country than any terrorist.
Hopefully this "Able Danger" revelation will inspire new interest in Mr. Sandy Burgler's stealing secret documents from our national archive.
