Clearwater, FL (LifeNews.com) -- Terri Schiavo's estranged husband Michael plans to file a lawsuit against her former caretakers. Michael asked a local court on Tuesday to waive the two year statute of limitations against such a lawsuit. Mark Perenich, Michael's new attorney, who replaces euthanasia advocate George Felos, told the Tampa Bay Tribune newspaper he could not comment on the proposed lawsuit.
Under Florida law, legal action must be taken within two years of the alleged mistreatment unless an extension is granted.
Michael could be hoping to go after Florida Governor Jeb Bush or the Florida legislature, which passed Terri's Law in October 2003 authorizing Bush to ask doctors not to starve Terri to death.

Wondered when this POS was going to rear his ugly head again. Always figured he wasn't finished. He didn't dump Felos, Felos just couldn't get any more money out of him. Also Mikey isn't the center of attention anymore---already had his fifteen minutes of fame and it's eating him up. Stay tuned, this monster will eventually self destruct.

I wonder why he dropped Felos? Do you suppose Felos refused the case because the outcome wouldn't insure starving an innocent person to death to satisfy what appears to be his fascination with death by design?

I have no doubt he feels confident in bringing another lawsuit...this sludge pile keeps winning. Let's hope this time he gets a judge with conscience who will wipe the floor with him.

I wonder why he dropped Felos? I suspect Felos dropped him. Felos was all about getting into the limelight and furthering the euthanasia movement in the US.
He has already gotten his piece of the Terri cake.

The 10 million dollars Michael Schiavo was offered to relinquish the guardianship of his wife is a drop in the bucket to the $$$$ that will come his way in the libel suits he is expected to pursue. Once all the public allegations that were falsely made about him are compiled and the possible assets of each litigant determined, those who can be publicly identified will be sued. Those who smeared his name in print or television are liable if they can be identified. It is time for the "Michael murdered his wife" cadre to put up or pay up. They will certainly not shut up.
It's ironic that those who hate Michael Schiavo the most will end up making him a very wealthy man.

I would love to see the malpractice insurers and physicians who had to pay out years ago countersue for the faulty decision. Is it too late for that?

Felos is a euthanasia lawyer. Schiavo needs a malpractice lawyer now. First she had to die, now he needs to go after the money.

Un-freakin'-believable! Just when I didn't think this sleazy, rotten piece of excrement could do anything more despicable! BTW -- has he married the mother of his two children yet?

Right...the first of many lawsuits I expect he will file. This paticular type of lawsuit(medical mal) has a two year filing limit. Other types of lawsuits, such as libel, have a 4 year filing deadline. Gotta have those ducks lined up in proper sequence ya know..

Oh please.
Libel is very hard to prove, and methinks no jury will side with this man, who is clearly trying to profit from the death of his wife, and not for the first time.
So nice of you though to volunteer to be the one Freeper willing to defend this cad now. :)
