Dana Reeves?
Who is she? Chris Reeves wife?
Very sad. Especially for their children
How sad, especially for the entire Reeves family. Prayers to their children and to Dana to beat her cancer. Hopefully her doctors caught it quickly.

That poor family!
Hopefully.
Who is Dana Reeves?
I'll bet now we are going to see her on TV enedlessly calling us all evil if we don't support throwing a $100 billion at finding her a cure.
Any money spent trying to cure cancer is very well spent. Who here doesn't know someone with cancer? It's still a scourge and a nightmare for anyone going through it, or caregiving someone through it. I hope this does bring money in.

Your better off burning your money than giving it to so called not for profits like the American Cancer Society. Family member worked there and the local chapter (in a medium size city) made enough just to pay all of the salaries and parties. They claim that the money went to fund education and research but they get around this on the audits by claiming that fund raising is part of the education and research effort.
If you want to give to these organizations do so because it makes you feel better. But dont do it because you think that they actually care about finding a cure, because they dont.
1. Of course I don't disagree with you in principle. 2. I am generally not a big fan of government spending on research, bbecause it tends to force research in one direction and crowd out resaerchs with unique approaches. 3. My comment was more towards the Reeves mentality of making their selfish agenda appear to be altruistic, and accuse those who don't agree of being morally lacking.
You may want to live up to your name, but that comment is terrible. :(
Dittos.
Sad news .. Prayers for her and her family
Agreed. I hope she's one of the lucky ones who beats this horrible disease.
I am sorry it offended you.
It was a comment on her position of using stem cells taken from aborted babies to extend hers or others' lives, which I consider "ghoulish."
"Ghoul" -- "A sorceror or evil spirt of folklore believed to plunder graves and feed on corpses in order to continue living."
