That was a great article by Debbie! Thanks a lot for posting it.

First off: I respect Jennings as an accomplished broadcast journalist, and I certainly take no pleasure at all in his passing. But we should not overlook his many faults, which were displayed in the consistent slant on the news he presented on ABC. Because of left-wing bias inherent in the network, important information was concealed or distorted in the public eye on many topics. Islamic radicalism was one such topic, as Debbie points out.

Even as we rightly mourn the death of Jennings, we should never forget the unhealthy and dangerous bias that he helped propogate through the MSM. Thank God the networks don't control things the way they did when Jennings took over.

Reading the other Petah threads, I thought I had I stumbled into a lib site. Here, then, is a proper FR thread on the life and impact of one Peter Jennings.

I find it interesting that Jennings was a high-school dropout, like most of the hardcore Hollywood Lefties. It seems that the less education you have, the more susceptible you are to being a useful idiot for the Left and its causes (communism, terrorism, antisemitism, etc.). I sometimes wonder if they don't pick and promote exactly those kinds of individuals to promote, certain that they can manipulate them easily.

I looked at a DU thread last night and noticed the mentions they made of how he did them favors by peddling propaganda or suppressing facts damaging to Dims. Well, at least they know he was their friend.

He and his fellow left wing media types who slanted and warped the news are responsible for a lot of suffering and pain in the world

The attitude of so many on this site that are bending over trying to be MR Nice Guy is one reason I think the left will eventually cause the death of our Republic

Thanks for a good article and clarity at a time when even those who should know better are genuflecting and groveling before the memory of this man.

Nobody I know would have wished for his suffering or death, but having come and finished him off we can all move on and be glad that his influence is over. This article does a fine job of recasting his legacy and illustrating the sham of the 'state funeral' he is being given.

Condolences for his family, but I, for one, am very glad his influence is over and gone.
