An Important Anniversary Posted on August 5, 2005 August 6, 2005 marks the 60th anniversary of the US bombing of Hiroshima. The Atomic Bomb, which decimated the Japanese city and its people, was never used in combat again. This day is also the anniversary of another bomb that was dropped 4 years ago, this time into the lap of President Bush in the form of a memo titled Bin Laden Determined to Strike in the US. While on yet another extended vacation at his Crawford ranch, the President chose to neglect his duties as Commander in Chief by refusing to act decisively and immediately on this impending threat, leading to the worst terrorist attack in American history. These anniversaries remind us to learn from our past actions in order to ensure a safer more secure future.
And makes about as much sense, too.
Sorry, babsalot, but we used a second atomic bomb on Nagasaki. This idiot can't even get history in her lifetime correct.
Just one of the many things she has never heard of.
I gotta learn to type faster.
Please everyone, spare us from the obligatory Helen Thomas photos...it's way too early!
Just like I have the right to laugh my @$$ off every time they open their mouths.
Keep it comin, "babs". You can't buy stuff this funny.
Streisand = Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!
She probably wonders why we didn't drop it on Germany.
Bin Laden attacked the U.S. on February 26, 1993 by helping to finance the Iraqis agents who tried to bring the towers done with a truck bomb. Countless times Bin Laden and Aqaeda were involved in attacks on Americans and American interests around the world.
Since EVERYONE already know that "Bin Laden was determined to attack the U.S." why would President Bush recieving a PDB stating the obvious be damning? Liberals are idiots.
Many, MANY times more Japanese were killed in conventional bombing than were killed in the atomic bombs of Hoiroshima and Nagasaki. Those 2 bombs saved Japanese lives, American lives and halted the Soviets from claiming part of Japan. After the bomb was dropped Stalin declared war on Japan because he thought surrender was eminent and he would partake of the spoils.
I never will understand what compels liberals to be so impressed with their own intelligence, something they seldom use.
I'd like to hear Rush's comments on this idiot who never heard of Nagasaki Japan.
Doesn't she have 'people' who can correct these things for her? Perhaps her 'people' are as clueless as she is. It has always amazed me that this woman has attempted to prop herself up as some deep-thinking liberal.
'Note to Babs, Bush is the one with the Yale AB and the Harvard MBA. You better be quiet. You look a only slightly less idiotic without your foot in your mouth.'
Remember, Babs you didn't graduate high school. You're unqualified to comment on issues of such importance. You really ought to leave these things to people who actually know something about history. What a fool.
"This day is also the anniversary of another bomb that was dropped 4 years ago, this time into the lap of President Bush in the form of a memo titled Bin Laden Determined to Strike in the US."
And do exactly what? Clintoon kept getting the same memos. I guess these morons need constant reminding that although we knew the threat was there, there was no specific imformation that gave W anything to act on.
she not only is being to SOUND like Helen Thomas, she is LOOKING like Helen Thomas...I thought she was going to leave...what's taking her so long???
Bye Bye Babs Baby, don't hurry back!!!!
Why won't these frickin' rejects just "Shut Up and Sing"?
Streisand probably doesn't know about the Rape of Nanking, the Bataan death march, the death ships, the mass murders of prisoners and civilians, the beheadings, the starvations, the diabolical medical experiments, and the refusal of the Imperial Japanese military to surrender. Nitwits like Barbra Streisand, who cry about Hiroshima and Nagasaki, never mention those.
Well "that particular" bomb was never used again. LOL
"Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?" Bluto Streisand.
She's an elite. No one can tell her she's wrong.
