President George W Bush welcomes Colombia's President Alvaro Uribe to his ranch in Texas, they went for a drive, held a private meeting, and then held a joint press conference. After lunch they spent the afternoon discussing regional security and diplomatic issues.

Further background can be found at President Alvaro visits Crawford

Vice President Dick Cheney is leading a delegation to Saudi Arabia to pay respects to King Fahd (no photos or report to be found almost as if there is a media black out on this). This is strange in 2 respects one no photos and that all reports seem to indicate that all other countries sent people the previous day to the Memorial Service.

Yesterday Secretary of State paid her respects to the late Saudi King Fahd by signing the Book of Condolence in the Saudi Arabian embassy in Washington.

New U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton in his Security Council debut, pressed Syria and Iran to do more to stem the flow of terrorists, arms and funding into neighboring Iraq

Enjoy your visit to Sanity Island

The Chief Justice was admitted for "observation" due to a high fever (again).

I've got to tell you, I love the pickup truck photos. Every PM or President has the same look of real joy on their faces when they are in that pickup with Dubya! They are like kids in a candy store.

You're right, snugs, Salvation Army tie alert on our beloved SecDef! Although I think I do like the suit, it looks like it buttons below his waist in that top photo, the fit is kind of weird looking.

We don't love him for his clothes, that's for sure. Darn good thing too, the man is definitely not a clothes horse.

Rummy's ties would probably be considered fashionable then but most people have changed the design now LOL

Sounds like the media blackout is imposed by the Saudis then, not by our media. I'm sure Yahoo particularly wouldn't miss a chance to put up the worst picture they could find with some outrageous caption. I saw that one you put up the other night from Yahoo. I was just furious.

Excellent point on the fashion statement!

Pantsuits look so smart and hip on her - speaking of hips - have you ever seen hillary stuffing herself into one? Eee gads...
